- There was a lot to take in during the Corona Open J-Bay this week, and as usual, the incredible surfing was just a fraction of the story. Sure, the groundbreaking moves, perfect tubes, ten-point rides and drones in the sky made for a compelling show, indeed maybe the best of the whole season, but there's always the view from deep inside the pro-packed peanut gallery. This was one of the best contests in history! The waves was so good, wasn't about waiting and catching the best wave. Everyone got good waves, it just came out to be whoever ripped the best and was on top of their game this week. Toledo killed it! The competition and skill level is on a different level so everyone gotta up their game or get left behind!
A golden event , was a showcase of unreal surfing of textbook waves, sharks, powerboat owning it too, with plenty of comedy thrown in. Seems the result was spot on, Felipe was magnificent.
