one time in an all any match I played in ToS1, the only evil was a witch and town spent days just randomly lynching people hoping something would happen. It never did until around day 6 when by chance we caught the witch
It would be interesting to give Monarch a day ability where they can force their knights to vote on a person of their choosing with the knights not having the ability to alter it or to stop them from voting for that day and absorb their vote power, would probably have to limit it to 1 or 2 uses.
nah pipe, 7 playing badly definitely negatively affected the game far more than mon being a not-so-great role. i have very little respect for people who get tpow or dep or knighted and think that they can dictate how the game goes and actively throw because they're "in charge"
A knighted person with 10 people left isn't even remotely close to in charge. If they start "leading" psychotically and people just follow them, at least the town is also just as bad in that situation.
I hate rolling Tpow sm. It's a lot of pressure and if you do not do your job well you can singlehandedly throw it for town and will probably get flamed for it.
I had a game yesterday where a deputy game threw just cause he didn't wanna be deputy. Day 3 he pops out a shots a Prosecutor then tells everyone he shot the pros just cause he didn't wanna be the deputy role.

@@TheVercci it's boring to play against 3 tpows in a game. Before the nerfs I was once in a game where I kid you not by D3 there was a confirmed dep, 4 tpows and a soc. What are you supposed to do against that? In tos 1 at least you had a chance. The tpows are powerful enough, none of them should be buffed.
100% Mon can suck. I know you say you don't blame the player, but in a game where players are using at least the standard respect for the game, you shouldn't have this problem. Being silly in ToS is fun! But not when a player randomly clears anyone of wrongdoing with no evidence, while having the sway of being knighted. Because, idk why, even early-game where the extra vote isn't as powerful, knights just socially brainwash people and everyone treats them as though they're mayor. Which is exactly why knighting N1 is always a problem lol Your town were just a bit dumb in this game, since they lynched an arso the day after they ignited.
I think Monarch instead should knight a target, then that target broadcasts their role publicly and is silenced for the day unless the monarch lets them speak. The target is protected from 1 attack per night. If you reveal an evil, the evil cannot activate their ability that day or night, but cannot be voted out or killed, it expires after 1 night and a charge is removed. No dupe targets. This gives monarch a more active role and allows it to play pseudo investigative by outing roles, so give it 2 charges Mayor reveals themself but monarch reveals others
Day 35 of telling lies: This goes to show that knighting the vet is always 100% the bestest choice. After all, what downside could there be giving a confirmed townie with the ability to defend themselves an extra vote?
Low evil matches are pretty dangerous because almost always town implodes trying to find a single evil :p

Monarch should get more powerful based on having knights not just having defense and the others getting power instead.

I think it's a terrible idea to buff any of the tpows, tos 1 was very balanced with just mayor and jailor.
Maybe instead the Knights could be normal votes but forced to vote with the monarch when they vote?
then itd be better to knight evils if you did that and itd make knights not do anything when mon dies
