Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. I’m just across the river in Ascutney. It’s nice seeing what time on year you start grafting . Hopefully it will get me out sooner in the season to start grafting
Amazing what an 11-minute video can do. I heard of Kirk's 8-day cycle a couple years ago. I tried to extrapolate it from his writing but did not see the "8-day" portion.
Only thing i do different is i put the frame that i am going to graft from in the cell builder the day before the graft. They flood the cells with royal jelly. So granting they get more jelly in the cups. May not make a difference.
Running your starter thru July.. are you adding brood every week? If so how do you keep the virus levels from building up ? Add brood were adding mites as well. After couple months of adding brood I'm getting virus problems.
I use a fresh group of cell builders for every batch of cells. So, no continuous cell builders that I stock with brood. I need 6 cell builders every 8 days, so I work through a yard of 30+ colonies over the queen rearing season.
I watched for 2 1/2 minutes and you had not begun to describe the schedule yet so I switched off. My general rule is if I have to listen to 2 minutes of waffle before the person gets to the subject in the title I do not waste further time.

Laughed so hard retro tablet.
Too bad you don't have something on the computer that helps show it all etc.
Hey, Troy. I love your shop setup. What product did you use for a floor sealer?
No sealer was used. Just keep it swept. Having an annual coating of beeswax scraped in when we are extracting doesn't hurt
