This is me because of you.

This one was made in private. No previews, no advice. No words of encouragement from my family. This is me.
Thank you mom for always loving me no matter how rebellious I was. Thank you for all your magic kisses through the years and the original tailored to me bed time stories. Thank you for giving me my kind heart and my rubber butt.
Thank you dad for all the fishing trips to the pond as a child. You gave me my safe place, my love for nature and the wonderful calming peace that can be found there. No matter how crazy life gets I know I can always find peace in the woods.
Thank you Aunt T.T. for showing me through the years that it is OK to be a little crazy. To dye your hair like a candy cane and strut your stuff. To dance around a fire and to throw a goodbye party for a raccoon.
Thank you to my sister for being the strongest person I have met. You have endured so much. You have been alone, rejected and cast out by so many in your life but always find a way to bounce back. You follow your passions no matter what. I believe in you. I know your current struggle and am so proud of you for fighting through.
Thank you to my husband. You have always seen through my mask. You have loved me through my darkest days. You have lifted me up when I was weak. You have always seen my beauty even when it was buried deep inside. You have been a light guiding me through the fog.
To my daughter, my angle, the greatest gift I have ever received. I love you beyond words. This is for you. We all want to protect our children. We want to make the world a safer place. When you told me to do this, that I could help the world, that I could help you. I knew I had to follow through. Apparently I have taught you that it is OK to be scared but to never quit if it can help someone else. I no longer fear for your future. You are four years old and are the most courageous person I have ever met. I will hold your hand as long as you let me. I can't wait to see you shine.
