7:00 while there is still isn’t a 1 slot deco for dragon and thunder there are other similar skills that boost them. The rampage deco “valstrax soul” boosts dragon element by 20% when afflicted by dragonblight. On the Narwa and Ibushi armor pieces, there is a skill called “stormsoul” which boosts dragon and thunder by up to 15% at lvl3. Narwas armor also has thunder alignment which adds more thunder res through “thunder alignment which is beneficial for dragon conversion. I realize you are probably aware of these and know these likely aren’t optimal but I wanted to share anyway. I run the narwa helm on my thunder and dragon Charge blade builds since crit and attack aren’t as important as raw element on CB.
I always appreciate you guys sharing your thoughts and ideas about Builds or usefull info in the comments, since newer players will definitely benefit from it 👍🏽 Yup, in terms of overall damage output over the course of a hunt those piecese are slightly less optimal than the ones used here. But the difference isnt that much, so those are definitely good options too. The Valstrax Soul Rampage Deco is getting outperformed by Bloodawakening now, since you dont have to rely on your Health being at 80% or less to avtivate Dragonheart for Valstrax Soul R.Deco Boost. + You have access to the Switcher R.Deco wich lets you play Swaxe without manualy charging the Switch Gauge at all if you use the right combos. Nice builds, thank you for sharing. A useful side note to the lvl 3 handicraft from shaggy chest - at that level of sharpness, Master's Touch begins overtaking Protective Polish and is much more comfy. Moreso if you manage to add crit eye 4 to reach 100% affinity.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏽And i appreciate the feedback aswell. Always great to share thoughts on builds. Yup, Master's Touch also becomes viable at Handicraft Lv 3, if you're Affinity is high enough. For 90% of cases Element Swaxe doesnt run Master's Touch, due to the overall Skill setup & current meta. Specialy with high Affinity not being a priority on E-Swaxe for DPS. Raw Swaxe definitely gets far more value out of it overall. It will also still be highly dependent on personal playstyle aswell. I for example have a very offensive playstyle, and even with Crit Eye Lv 6, Wex Lv 3 & Bloodlust I run through purple in less than 70 Seconds with Master's Touch. Giving it significantly less value than the 90 Seconds from Protective Polish. That's with a playstyle that includes use of Soaring Wyvern. However, if you're using a groundet playstyle without Soaring Wyvern, Master's Touch will be way more comfertable!
I wouldn't count out the Power w/element SAs entirely out at this point - they're still good in a few matchups: -Kushala's SA beats Lagombi's against Violet Mizutsune and Zinogre; -Zinogre's beats Narwa's/Khezu's against regular Bazelgeuse; -Rathalos' is roughly equal to the two Dragon SAs against Chaotic Gore Magala. Why? Because their best slashing hitzones only have 15 Ice, 15 Thunder and 18 Fire respectively, not enough to trigger Element Exploit, thus giving them the edge. Bazel's head does become 20 to Thunder when he's enraged, but that's not enough to justify using Element Phial. However, Magmadron's may be the best elemental axe overall. Why? Because it's still got a great matchup against Valstrax, _provided you exclusively hit its front legs_ - you see, those claws remain at 25 to all elements except Dragon even when Val is enraged. But even so, you're generally better off using Vengeful Fellcleave in combination with Buildup Boost, since you can aim other places.
Yup, some of the Power Phial Switchaxes with Element are still great choices and more than just viable in some matchups. Sadly due to all the changes we've had from TU4 going up to TU6, some of this is outdated aswell though. The reason for it is the insane amount of Skills that increase Element output that we now have access to, thanks to Talismans & Augments. Even when taking Element Exploit out of most Builds entirely, Elemental Phials will still end up outperforming Power Phials now (this is also why they nearly dissapeared from speedruns entirely). I personally still use the Kushala SA alot for certain matchups. As far as the Zinogre SA goes, mathematically it can neither beat the Narwa, nore the Khezu SA now if each of the 3 use a semi-optimized Build (But it's so close in overall DPS, that it honestly doesnt matter imo). The Rathalos SA is a very niche case, and can actually pull ahead of the 2 Dragon SA's against Chaotic Gore, if you're realy on point 👍🏽 Indeed, Magmadron has objectively been the strongest elemental Switchaxe in the Game since it was introduced and never fell of that spot.
An alternative head piece to use depending on your talisman should be the risen kushala augmented for slottage either at the cost of one wire bug whisper or going off random chance with normal crafting. But this is more so recommend jf you say are like me snd have a dragon conversion 3 crit boost 1 with 4-1 slot. Doing so i was sble to get sll the necessary skills and full attack. Just agument for two levels of furious, I'd recommend the legs and srms. You really only need 10+, elem resistance because you'll more often then not already come close to max potential of element resistance thanks to the high element resistance to water and thunder. Dragon and fire eat for the hopping dango levels to gain additional 20 and 15 element resistance respectfully.
Yup, the Helmet can definitely be substituted depending on the Talismans you have available 👍🏽The R.Kush Helmet is for sure one of the best candidates there. Eating for 2x extra E-Resistance food buffs is almost never worth it though in terms of Damage gain. You'll get more value out of eating for Booster & Weakener + only 1 E Resitance food buff, or anything else you personaly like to have.
I like that I got a Peak Perfor lvl 2 and Furious Lvl2 with a 3 slot and 2 slot the budget build will be so much fun to have. An extra 10+ raw is pretty nice xD

amazing video man. do you think you'll do "best bow builds for all elements" tu6? i'd love to see how what your budget build and then a monster qurio build will be!
I usually always do if i have the time ^_^ Both Khezu & Narwa are shown in the "Best Weapon options" section in the Video 😄Wich one you should choose realy just comes down to personal preference, or the amount of Slots you require based on your Augments & Talisman. They're so close in overall damage output that it honestly doesnt matter. The difference is barely noticable.
I am trying to get a very odd build to work. I was lucky with my rolling (ignoring the amount of times I rerolled skills). I have valstrax helm where it removes an attack boost for an extra dragon conversion. Primordial mail replacing crit boost for dragon conversion. Archfiend hands where resentment was replaced with strife. Risen sharmagala replacing one wex for strife. Primordial boots with only strife gained. Also using a furious 3 talisman with a three slot. It is definitely a funny build, but i feel like i still have a hard time because i really want to maximize my damage but i should slot in a recovery up because the dereliction sometimes gets too much for me. But it probably could be better with a bit more on the talisman. Also maybe i should just stick to dereliction 3 or blood awakening 3, but i just find it funny having dereliction 2 blood awakening 2 in the same build
That's a nice combo indeed! I was messing around with something similar the other day too 😄 In terms of DPS you can comfertable stick to your current setup. Switching to Dereliction 3 shouldnt yield better results than that overall. If the Health Drain gets too much at times, I can recommend trying out Bloodawakening + Mail of Hellfire Lv3 (on Blue Scroll for +20% Element). It's dangerous due to the heavy negative you recieve to your E-Resistance, but it can still feel more "comfortable" to play than with comstant Health Drain at times.
Hammer is moving up places on the List for Builds to get an upate right now since it's being requested more now 😊It's not exactly next, but should be happening soon. It's likely gonna be a big Video like this one.🔨
If you want hammer sets, take a look at Dynamo_Lynn's channel, which has some very good ones with good explanations. It's mostly speedruns, but there are also videos dedicated to hammer sets for each title update.
@@RexusChrysalis I'm looking for elemental sets and the ones I've found in her channel are from TU3 and it's mainly about raw damage strength and courage builds. I'm also looking for some with no dereliction but bloodlust or frenzied bloodlust is acceptable 😁 thanks for the idea tho since now that I check her channel I'm making the TU6 strength build
Hi Nox! I am trying out variety of weapons in sunbreak and I am on my SwitchAxe arc, I just want to ask if are you planning to update the Status SwitchAxe Build you made? I am kinda interested in both Raw and Status for SAs just to see if they are viable specially status because it's I really find status playstyle interesting! Thank you Nox!
What are your thoughts on the Calamity Axe vs the Primordial Axe? Sure, the Calamity has better numbers, but the sharpness and slots on the Primordial seem to be hard to argue with IMO.
Those are pretty much my thoughts aswell. A strong case can be made for both. Right now my choice always comes down to this now: If you can make your Build with the Calamitous Axe, fitting in all the essentials + all the "basic" comforts you'd like to have (Defiance, Intrepid Heart, etc), stick with Calamitous for min maxed DPS. But if you gain a sizeable amount of comofrt to your personal playstyle by utilizing the better Slotage on the Silver Slasher (like maxing out Recovery up on a Blood awakening Build + adding Evade Window if you like it + easier Defiance, etc), then it can definitely make up for the small loss in dps & you can run the Silver Slasher with results just as good as the Calamitous Axe overall 👍🏽 However, if you're only picking the Silver Slasher to add more ATK Boost, it wont be worth it.
@@YokaiNox Actually, I think the Silver Slasher might win out not just because of the amazing slots, but because of its natural purple. You don't need any Handicraft at all, which gives room for more DPS skills. If you already have a godly talisman and set of Qurious Augments and can afford the rank in Handicraft, then Calamitous wins out.
I have a question. How do you get all these skills on the upgraded version? I didn't get it. Where comes the element exploit from. I can't get these massiv amount of skills on 1 set I really don't get it
Wich one of the Builds are you talking about ?😄 For the 1st one, you can see the Elm.Exploit Decoration on the Deco List under the Build. For the 2nd one you can see that i have Elm.Exploit as an Augment when you check the Augments Timestamp for that Build.
@@YokaiNox the first one but the augmented version. Yeah I see now. But I still can't get all of these skills in 1 set and I'm missing the talisman with furious of course. There is something I do wrong but I don't know what 😅 sry for my school English 😅
@@DizzyAkira What kind of Talisman are you using ? We'll figure out how to make the best possible adjustments. No worries, your english is completely fine man! :D
I also named all the Monsters the weapons are from, so all you have to do is look for that Weapon Tree 😊 -The Weapon Trees are: Almudron, Amatsu, Lagombi, Sinister, Khezu, Narwa, Primordial Malzeno. (It's also muuuch faster to just flick through the Weapon pictures at the smithy than trying to read all the names of the Weapons 😄)
if it were me i would drop evade extender on switch axe for more dmg, utilising the morphing moves with evades in axe form gives you more than enough mobility its overkill, great builds tho!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback ^_^ Mathematically you actually loose damage when taking out Evade Extender on Switch Axe Builds in the Endgame. Even when utilizing the moprhing moves & transitions perfectly, there are still gaps in the movement that will have to be made up with sidesteps or dodge rolls (Less movement needet = higher damage uptime). On some Monsters it can definitely be taken out 👍🏽Wich is why i mention in the Video that Evade Extender isnt "essential" to the Builds. But on the majority of hunts it's going to hurt the DPS when you have to chase down Monsters and cant reposition as smoothly. We're also at a point where there arent any additional Damage Skills that could be addet, wich actually outperform the benefit of Evade Extender (Given that you already have all the other essential Damage Skills in the Build) I personaly play with & without Evade Extender, so whatever works ! 😊
I'm a bit lost with dragon conversion 3, so with this build do I need to use blue scroll first and swap to red when I do 30 hits or I can just use red scroll the entire hunts since it comes with +10 all element res. (+furious)?
For the full benefit you want switch to blue at the start. Attack the Monster untill you get the Resistance Buff (+15 to all Resistances). Then swap back over to red for the big elemental ATK buff. Furious should be brough up to Lv 3 aswell if you can, wich then adds +20 to all Resistances on red.
@@YokaiNox Alright, thanks for replying! Sorry I was really confused as game8(.)co stated that Dragon Conversion 3 with Furious 3 we can just use red scroll all the time which is weird to me.
@@arnold2614 No problem, any time! 👍🏽 Yeah some of the descriptions there can be a bit misleading^^" Not utilizing the Blue Scroll would robb you off +18.75 (19) Element. Wich is a very large free boost! 😅
Yup, Exactly the same. But it's entirely personal preference based^^ You can use whatever you like. The only thing i recommend never taking out is the double morph slash. That one is simply better than the other option.
You can find it in this Episode of my Layered Armors: ▶ruclips.net/video/kQNwacYsrKs/видео.htmlsi=kXXQktkINVAq3nkY (I'm using a different Head Piece there though. in the Thumbnail i'm using the Benevolent Bandage)
Hi, idk if I missed it but does mail of hellfire’s decreased resistance in blue scroll affect the dragon conversion / total resistance? Is that why you have a * in recommended augments? Tysm!
Nope, no need to worry about the Resistance decrease from MoH on the blue Scroll. Since you will be switching back to red imideatly after getting the Resistance buff from Dragon Conversion, it has no effect on the buff we recieve there.
That's a huuuge topic big enough for a video of it's own 😄 I'll try to give you a short summary: Manually making Builds starts with learning/knowing the essential Skills to have for the specific Weapon Type. Then you want to figure out the most efficient way to get your hands on those Skills (Talismans/Armor Parts & Decorations + Augments in the case of Sunbreak). Once you've got the essentials, move on to the highest value offensive Skills for your chosen Weapon Type (This will require knowledge of those Skills & wich Levels you should pick for each of them). After putting an amount of offensive Skills into the Build that you're satisfied with, add quality of life & comfort skills into the Build as you see fit. Always remember to have some form of Sharpness management in your Build acording to the Weapon & playstyle. Once you're done, test run the Build and check if there is anything you can do without, or if you feel something is missing. Often defensive Skills like "Defiance" for example get overlooked as a potential offensive Skill. Dont be afraid to go outside of the box and use some of the more "obscure" Skills when trying things out. You'll often stumble across Skills that might work particularly well for your own personal playstyle. Everything else just comes with Trial & Error + Expirience.
The 4 Switch Skill i always keep in are: - Forward Slash - Double Morph Slash - Burst Counter - Diving Wyvern (The other one is optional depending on what i'm fighting)
Just got to this video because they just recently release TU5 to playstation. Was wondering if these sets still work as well for Elder dragon? Considering their part is harder to break
Yup, they will still work ^_^ But for one more suited to Elder Dragons specifically i linked the TU5 Build at the end of the Video. It's perfect for Elder Dragons 👍🏽
@YokaiNox I got it. My bad for the dumb question. But the game is weird. I shouldn't have access to the risen monsters at mr 130, but I had access to everything. 🤷🏿♀️
Hello, how do you get that Furios talisman for build 1 upgraded version without qurious melding ? With aurora melding you can't select Furious skill, it's not available :/
Those Talismans can only be found by using Vigor Melding. The skill cant be selected, it's RNG. You can use the Zinogre Event to farm Meldig Accelerants to farm Talismans alot faster now.
Furious gives+ 20 to every single Resistance & Dragon Conversion itself also gives 15 to every single Resistance. That alone is already reason enough and a huge Element ATK Boost. And you can fit extra E-Resistance into the Build depending on Augments etc.
im using build 1 upgraded version only missing attack 4 and elem exploit, my zsd deals %66 of your zsds dmg to afflicted almudron even after i max stack furious&conversion why :(
There's definitely something missing then! Element Exploit is one of the essential Skills for elemental Swaxe. If you're missing room for it, definitely drop something else. What are your Skills atm ? We'll figure out where the issue is & fix it for sure ^_^
@@YokaiNox like i said everything same i got an extra defiance got 0 attack boost and elem exploit i'll try to make it same once i unlock some stuff then test it
@@hyperseek9646 Alright. If you're also using the same Decos, start by dropping the Critcal Boost Deco in exchange for Element Exploit. Still, 66% less damage is pretty much impossible if you're using the same Skills. Got the right Blessing & Rampage Deco equipped ?
@@YokaiNox yep teo blessing and switcher deco equipped swapped a few as you said its almost same now thanks a lot. RN its Fire Attack 5 / WE3 / R.Morph 3 / Furious 3 / Burst 3 / B.Awakening 3 / D. Conversion 3 / C.Boost 2 / T.Blessing 2 / Elem Exploit 2 / Attack 1 / Bloodlust 1 (and other non offensive thingies)
No worries, we'll figure out what the problem is & fix it 👍🏽 2 big questions right away: - Are you using Dragon Conversion correctly ? - What are your skills looking like ? (There's a good chance something is missing or out of place)
There will likely be some new Raw Swaxe Builds in the future. Right now the one from the TU5 Raw Swaxe Video is still very good though and will be hard to beat.
For Talismans like Rapid Morph Lv 3 with [2-2-2] Slots, use the Cyclus Melding. For Talismans with things like Furious or Dragon Conversion, you have to farm the Vigor Melding.
3.000+ rolls and still not get this fkin Powder Mantle + 1 slot. I hate Capcom and his Gatcha/rng things. Qurios was a good idea, but the method is really bad. I don't want to see such a thing like this after Sunbreak. I lost litteraly one day of my life for nothing, it's insane.
@@foreverx243 Decos can not be upgradet. You have to unlock higher Tier Decos. And the other question i dont even understand xD The same ?Do you mean their names ?
Luckily you dont need either of the exact Talismans used for the Budget or Upgradet version. And Talismans with Furious Lv 2 are not that rare either ^_^ Ofc one with Lv 3 will be more difficult to get, but these are the final form Endgame Builds to grind towards after all. You dont need anything like this to deal great damage.
@@MechaRoses You can literally get any Skill from the pool of possible Skill drops, without loosing any existing Skill on the Armor piece. 200+ rolls any neither Dragon or Furious ? Please do hammer next. I'm looking at my builds constantly wondering how I can improve them
Hammer is moving up places on the List for Builds to get an upate right now since it's being requested more now 😊It's not exactly next, but should be happening soon.
Thanks for the insight!
I can't get these massiv amount of skills on 1 set I really don't get it
Wich one of the Builds are you talking about ?😄
For the 1st one, you can see the Elm.Exploit Decoration on the Deco List under the Build.
in 7:05 what is the names of all SwAxes? thanks in advance
I also named all the Monsters the weapons are from, so all you have to do is look for that Weapon Tree 😊
-The Weapon Trees are: Almudron, Amatsu, Lagombi, Sinister, Khezu, Narwa, Primordial Malzeno.
Thanks for the feedback ^_^
Mathematically you actually loose damage when taking out Evade Extender on Switch Axe Builds in the Endgame.
We're also at a point where there arent any additional Damage Skills that could be addet, wich actually outperform the benefit of Evade Extender (Given that you already have all the other essential Damage Skills in the Build)
I personaly play with & without Evade Extender, so whatever works !
Yeah some of the descriptions there can be a bit misleading^^" Not utilizing the Blue Scroll would robb you off +18.75 (19) Element. Wich is a very large free boost! 😅
So, for the rampage slot do you use element bane, or the phial switch boost?
@@comboer3334 Always Phial Switch Boost 👍
7:00 what about fire?
It's shown in the Video with the Build😄 If you go back to the main part of the Video it has the Fire Swaxe as demonstration on screen at all times.
what switch skills are you using with elem swaxe is it the same with the raw build ?
Yup, Exactly the same. But it's entirely personal preference based^^ You can use whatever you like. The only thing i recommend never taking out is the double morph slash. That one is simply better than the other option.
I guess a furious 2 protective polish 2, 3,2,1 slot isn't a bad roll then 😂
Daaamn! That's definitely a spicy roll you got there! 😁👌🏽
Whats the layered armor your using in the thumbnail?
You can find it in this Episode of my Layered Armors: ▶ruclips.net/video/kQNwacYsrKs/видео.htmlsi=kXXQktkINVAq3nkY
(I'm using a different Head Piece there though. in the Thumbnail i'm using the Benevolent Bandage)
@@YokaiNoxgot it. Thank you so much! Your videos have helped so much.
@@Sabirreboiii Any time! Just let me know if any other questsion pop up 👍🏽
how did you get better at making builds? ive been playing mh games for some time and i really want to learn how to make builds
That's a huuuge topic big enough for a video of it's own 😄
I'll try to give you a short summary: Manually making Builds starts with learning/knowing the essential Skills to have for the specific Weapon Type.
@@YokaiNox thank you for the response man thats a big help actually haha
what switch skills do you use on this build?
The 4 Switch Skill i always keep in are:
- Forward Slash
- Double Morph Slash
- Burst Counter
- Diving Wyvern
(The other one is optional depending on what i'm fighting)
Just got to this video because they just recently release TU5 to playstation. Was wondering if these sets still work as well for Elder dragon? Considering their part is harder to break
Yup, they will still work ^_^
But for one more suited to Elder Dragons specifically i linked the TU5 Build at the end of the Video. It's perfect for Elder Dragons 👍🏽
Did they change the helmet? I haven’t seen the skill dragon conversion or the skill furious
I'm super confused 😄
You might not have access to these Armor parts then yet. How far into the game are you at the moment ?
@YokaiNox I got it. My bad for the dumb question. But the game is weird. I shouldn't have access to the risen monsters at mr 130, but I had access to everything. 🤷🏿♀️
@@oblivious._ that's how it works. For hub quests you need to reach required Mr. But you can get them in investigation way before that
hey i gotta question how long do the buffs from furious x dragon conversion last for?
They last for the entire Hunt once you've activated them, unless you cart. In that case you have to activate the buffs again.
@@YokaiNoxahh ok thanks a lot! also if you sheathe ur weapon do the buffs go away?
@@octokool Nope, they never go away, unless you cart 👍🏽

Hello, how do you get that Furios talisman for build 1 upgraded version without qurious melding ? With aurora melding you can't select Furious skill, it's not available :/
Those Talismans can only be found by using Vigor Melding. The skill cant be selected, it's RNG.
You can use the Zinogre Event to farm Meldig Accelerants to farm Talismans alot faster now.
@@YokaiNox Ok thx for the answer, I was really curious about what melding you were using, time to roll some RNG so :)
@@YNMDZ No problem at all! Good luck, may RNGesus bless you with lots of great Talismans! 😄
Why would you need dragon conversion when you dont have elemental resistance?
Furious gives+ 20 to every single Resistance & Dragon Conversion itself also gives 15 to every single Resistance. That alone is already reason enough and a huge Element ATK Boost. And you can fit extra E-Resistance into the Build depending on Augments etc.
@@YokaiNox oh I see, thanks!
im using build 1 upgraded version only missing attack 4 and elem exploit, my zsd deals %66 of your zsds dmg
to afflicted almudron even after i max stack furious&conversion why :(
also this build is way op its like playing with fatalis armor set + lifesteal you become unstoppable no cap
There's definitely something missing then!

- What are your skills looking like ?

How do i get all these skills talisman
For Talismans like Rapid Morph Lv 3 with [2-2-2] Slots, use the Cyclus Melding.
For Talismans with things like Furious or Dragon Conversion, you have to farm the Vigor Melding.
Can you do hammr buid please

3.000+ rolls and still not get this fkin Powder Mantle + 1 slot.
