Hey man thanks for the great walk around. I have the same motor and kit as well. Busy life...wont be getting it installed anytime soon as I am working on some suspension upgrades currently. Just curious about the serpentine belt on the GM alternator. I see someone else asked you the same question...is there no part number on the belt that you can see? My hometown has a very completely useless automotive supply and I would not even begin to think they could help me with a string measurement lol. I also want to use my power steering pump like you have.
I dug through my book and luckily saved the labels from the belts. Alternator is Gates K060325 and power steering is Master Pro 7312. Good luck with your swap!
It is! I’m still sitting on the first one with low compression. I have rings for it, suppose I’ll get to it some day. I need to put a new video up. It was overheating with the larger samurai radiator. Just did electric PS so I could fit the Acme radiator. I’ve actually been daily driving it. Sorta like driving a tractor. Thanks for watching!
I have this engine in my 87 Sammy. I replaced the fuel injectors. There was a las a a month getting the rebuilt injectors and I do not remember the sequence for routing the fuel return lines. where can I get a picture of the fuel return line sequence?
I have a Bentley manual that covers 93-99 Jetta with the AAZ. The little return port closest to the front gets a plug then the other side goes to the next injector and so on till you get to the last hose which routes to the back of the pump.
Yes, original trans and T case. After driving it a while a Toyota trans and dual t case would be nice. Samurai trans seems to hold up but the low rev diesel is sorta full crawl or highway geared with no “perfect” gearing option for both crawling and highway. I have 4:1 T case and 5.29’s so I’m geared really low, that probably helps the samurai trans hold up.
It’s just an AAZ manifold. Some are different than others depending on what turbo they came with. When I bought this engine it had a K5 and I wanted to run the bigger k14.

What Trans did you run
Stock samurai trans. Holding up for now. Thanks for watching.

What is the serpentine belt number that you used?
I don’t recall the part number. I mounted it and used a string to measure it and went to the parts store and had them find a belt that matched.
What transmission did you run and how is it holding up
@@08rabbott stock transmission and transfer case. So far so good but I have a spare just in case.
And how is it holding up
acme adapter is not avaible do they have FB page or where i can buy adapter thanks
Www.acmeadapters.com The website works great, I just ordered the radiator kit. Jeff is VERY helpful.
The flywheel that you use is the oem sj413 engine or not ?
The flywheel came with the kit and has been machined. Not sure what one they used but assuming it’s a stock flywheel as the clutch bolts right up.
@@Chris_by_four yes but the clutch that you are using is the suzuki one
Yes, that’s what I said. Clutch is stock. Flywheel came with the kit from Acme and has been machined to bolt up the the VW crankshaft.
How did the install go?
Install was the easiest part. Bolted right up. Power steering and cooling were the hard parts. Thanks for watching.
I need the same motor mounts hook me up.
I got them at www.acmeadapters.com
Will that altenator bracket work on the alh
I do not know, you’d have to ask Acme Adapters.
Od cega vam je zamajac??
I mene to zanima, debljina ploce i od cega je zamajac. Ako imas takvu informaciju, javi mi kako mogu da te kontaktiram. Pozdrav
Is the diff OK running the bigger engine?
So far, I’m running a 4:1 gear set and 5.29’s in the axles so ratios are ultra low and not too high stress.
What part do you have to use to get a spin on oil filter??
You can use an Empi remote oil filter adapter or I used the Acme angled oil filter adapter.
hello, what clutch do you use? clutch disc
Samurai clutch and disc, Centerforce stage 3. The stock samurai clutch slips with the 1.9T, too much torque

where can i buy this kit?

what was that exhaust manifold off of?
It’s just an AAZ manifold. Some are different than others depending on what turbo they came with. When I bought this engine it had a K5 and I wanted to run the bigger k14.
