I have this very watch but Midnight Blue dial. Great tools watch, easy to read and mine keeps +2 per day! You're right the bezel is really handy keeping a second time zone or just as a timer. Like your videos keep the good work up.
I have been an admirer of fortis for a while. But haven’t taken the plunge yet with one of their watches. I really like this flieger line up especially the titanium one with a formal GMT function and a fancy in house movement. I also like the stratos line up and the marine master. They all seem to be excellent tool watches that get very little attention and I’m not sure why. Thanks for covering good review as always
It would have been interesting to hear your thoughts on that orange mark between the 11 and 1. The prevailing explanation seems to be for synchronizing watches among multiple pilots during their pre-flight brief. Before every sortie, the pilots will all sync their watches to the mission commander's watch using the seconds hacking feature. Supposedly, the orange mark makes that easier. Sounds great in theory, but it seems like something that would be more common on pilot watches if it really made a difference. Since you've had this in hand, I was looking forward to your perspective on whether the orange stripe is actually brilliant example of "form follows function" or a merely a built-in conversation starter. Love your videos, Barry! Cheers!
I did read something about that but honestly I don't think it makes any difference at all, but thats not to say I don't like as I do. This is a watch I'd happy own I'm looking forward to reviewing more models from them
Nice watches, but not long power reserve sadly, my next watch is going to be a Panerai 1085 or 1084 wind up watch, been wanting one for so long, next year hopefully. I like yours you said you had for many years.
I don't mind the 38hours as I only did it run over night as I sleep, if I take it off for any longer it's because I'm not planning to wear it. The Pam 1085 is a great looking model I love the dial colour but do prefer a sandwich dial personally, A friend has one so I may be able to review it in the up coming future
Lovely watch. Ashamed to say I had never heard of John Harwood. Just read the story of the bumper and Rolex nicking his idea. Amazing. His son was a watchmaker also and died recently.
I like the look and colors but feels more in line with a $1200'ish seiko Prospex. Congrats on getting another source (besides F&G) of watch to review, looking forward.
Looked at Fortis several times and I love the look. However, for some reason they like to go with the eternally dumb 21mm lugwidth so nope... Companies who do that should not be encouraged. Punish them...punish them I say!!!
😁 I don't mind them myself, The strap on this one is great and my friend John over at Black Isle Leatherwork makes amazing straps for very little money

Thanks Andrew , its a cracking watch you have there expect to see more Fortis reviews to come

Hi Barry, nice watch! As you say Fortis is a really cool brand. LG Bob 🍻

It's an interesting story , Rolex apologised to him once in Times New Paper many years later. I love to get my hands on one of his watches Colin
@@ClickSpringReview they look stunning.

Yeah its always great to have access to more watches :)
Fortis now too expensive ,fortis chronograph now same tudor chronograph price
I believe they use the same movement plus they are the only brand testing some of their models in space which is just mad but also so very cool
