If Shilese is injured, I see her competing all around in Paris. Jordan has lower difficulty even though her program is clean. We can see a Biles Lee one two in the all around. I think it's a shame Russia isn't competing because the US has very little opposition without Russia in the mix.

She had uncharacteristic mistakes on 3 of 4 events, and still got third place, broke 56, and was only 0.375 behind Jordan. While Jordan was close to her peak score. Again, this is not a knock on Jordan, but Suni has the stronger AA program.
YES SUNII!! I've said it multiple times, Suni has the best artistry and one of the best execution in all the US gymnastics. This routine is so refresh from the others, It's not just acrobatic, it's beautiful, elegant, and very well executed. The best part is she has an 8.3 for execution and a 13.7 with a 15.4 D, but they didn't credit her double L, so that means that she can hit a 13.9 even a 14 with this routine!!!!

I love this , but I REALLY loved the Routine she has been doing, the one she did at Champs , (strange time to change music ). .It just suited her so much better. Great upgrade on her first pass! She is awesome. , But choreo/ music wise , I loved her previous routine. Regardless..So happy for Suni ❤❤

@tulip5677 triple twists judging has been very strict this quad, there's already been instances of it being de valued (alice kinsella had pretty solid triple twists and hers still got de valued internationally) so it's become a risky move, plus I believe it just carries more deductions than say a double tuck or a full in (equal value)
Her form and landing on her chuso is somewhat similar to Andrade. I've seen Suni training it in 2020 but this is the first time ive seen her perform it. Bravo.

She was third overall all around behind simone and jordan! I believe she can get 2nd behind simone on the 2nd night ‘cause she didn’t perform a clean vault (kayla got injured right before suni went up and suni was in tears glad she could perform the vault at least), got big deductions on beam and not full difficulty and same on bars i think she missed a connection. Overall had a great meet but not her best, hope that she’ll show us what she really is capable of on the 2nd night cause we know she can
She's very pleasing to watch...... her elegance and grace coupled with power (in a feminine way). Unlike Simon Biles that just looks very 'herky jerk' in her movements and how her upper body seems to overpower everything..... just doesn't exude elegance or grace for me, especially when talking female gymnastics.

This entire event is to determine the US Olympics TEAM, but you're determined to keep everyone separate based on personal biases. NO. A gymnast can do a two or three pass routine as long as their passes fulfill the Composition Requirement which is that the gymnast must perform a forward/sideway and a backward salto.

@@jakeperalta3493 Well, let us remember what Suni is dealing with. I think her coach (es) have constructed all her routines well to this point. We might see some upgrades further down the road but I think what she has is more than enough to make the team, which is the ULTIMATE aim right now.
Suni needs to do more artistically as she matures, some of her moves are a bit negligent, she gives you glimpses of beauty and them pulls back which is frustrating. She also somewhat listens to the music, unlike others. Hope she finds time for that in the future when she's injury free and under less pressure, because she and Shilese are the only ones capable of elegance in the US team.

She is right up there with Eythora Thorsdittir when it comes to artistry on floor but with more difficulty.
