- Each year Warhawk Air Museum at Nampa, Idaho, organizes a Memorial Day formation warbird flight over cemeteries, hospitals, and sites around Boise, Idaho to honor those military members we have lost.
This year's formation included Jim Thomas flying Warhawk Air Museum's P-40 "Sneak Attack", John Hinton flying the museum's P-40N "Parrot Head", John Maloney in the museum's P-51C "Boise Bee", and Mark Peterson flying his P-51 "Diamondback".
Watch for a large hawk over the Nampa Airport, seemingly in formation with the warbirds.
We pause to remember those we have lost, and we thank the Warhawk Air Museum team for making this annual event possible. - Авто/Мото
Sad to hear that we lost Bud Andersons just recently, another American legion gone but not forgotten!!! RIP Sir.....
Thanks for the tribute to Bud. He's sorely missed by all who knew him. But, what a life!
You are welcome. I am grateful i had the opportunity to hear him speak several times.
What an excellent way to celebrate those who have given their best to keep a free world. The Warhawk Museum retains the spirit of America at its' best.
Yes, they have a good and sincere belief in what they do.
A magnificent way to honor the men and women of the United States military who made the ultimate sacrifice defending freedom and liberty for us all.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Gen. Claire Chennault would be very proud of all of his men and women of the Flying Tigers. My Grandma was his secretary in India, she brought his two Dachshunds home when the mission was completed. Great period in history.

Amazing and impressive.
And thanks for adding that bit of history!
I found this wonderful museum last weekend. Looks like I was there a week too soon!
The folks at Warhawk have a good crew and a sincere belief in what they do.
John Paul’s P-40E was the first I’d seen in person, 1972 at Hamilton AFB Memorial Day open house. In the spring 1984 I was flying a passenger flight in a WestAir Commuter Twin Otter, from Modesto to San Francisco, through the Livermore valley, and the very same P-40 pulled up on our wing (very briefly, not close enough to call formation). After my shift, I drove over to Livermore and spoke with John, who acknowledged that he “might have seen” the Twin Otter. 😉
I loved seeing that eagle that seemed to be flying with the formation. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
That was great shot composition for sure
I could see the bird in flight over the airport as the warbirds approached in the distance, and just kept hoping they would coincide at some point.
Oh those old warbirds! Nothing so sweet as their rumble! So moving to see them fly!!! The P-40 is in my top four favorites. Thank you for sharing with us!!!
You are very welcome. One of the joys of making video of Warhawk Air Museum activities is the ability to get away from loudspeaker music, so we can preserve the ambient aircraft sounds as much as possible.
I have been their on 3 different occasions.Nice town, and very nice people. Thanks for the video.
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching.
High Quality camera work & editing. When I'm in town, I'll make it a point to stop by for introductions, August 10, 2024.
Thank you very much.
Beautiful.
Thank you John. It's time for the summer air show season now!
It's a great way to honer them.
Warhawk Air Museum does a good job at this.
