It’s insulting. My grandfather was a firefighter for 31 years with the Niagara Falls fire department, and I watched him suffer and eventually die from the cancer that he obtained from firefighting. And though we had a rather large funeral (for Covid times) and we are very grateful, George Floyd was a hardened criminal who committed horrid crimes, and was an all around terrible human being, and he got a metric fuck ton of people at his funeral. He had (correct me if I’m wrong) a golden casket and over 500 people at the funeral. It’s incredibly insulting to anybody who spent their lives helping people, and just about anybody who lived a cleaner life than George Floyd. It’s just infuriating and sad.

I got shouted at by a black female because I was eating at a Korean restaurant and I was laughing because I couldn’t use chopsticks. but the Asian staff came and told her to leave me alone and she attacked the staff. The restaurant gave me a free order because she took my food and threw it in the trash. I still go to this restaurant and I became friends with the family that runs the business and it restores my hope in humanity every time I come through. And we lived happily ever after and everyone clapped and I found a treasure under my house and I chose to donate the money for covid vaccine research

I installed the video games at Disney Quest in Orlando. I was programming a bank of eight Sega Daytona 500 games to link, the venue was far from open. All of the games were in programming mode on the screen. A group of Disney execs were watching me work, they asked me to change the terminology because master and slave were offensive. I was also installing games on a Disney ship, there was a Wave Runner and the graphics showed a Carnival ship. When the execs showed up to inspect they where aghast and asked if I could remove it. I actively avoid doing business with anyone that feels the need to tell me their skin color, sex, or sexual preference. It is totally irrelevant in a business transaction.

Im not addicted, and have been broke and homeless. I didn’t get paid as agreed for work performed, didn’t recognize red flags, and rode it into the ground. Lesson learned, always found a way through, pursuing the next opportunity.
Interesting to see your post. Same thing happened to me more than 12 times over the course of 7 years. From temporary labour contracts that lasted two weeks and on paid day the company closed shop and left town to government sponsed job referals that did the same as well as private companies in consruction, delivery driving and security work. Has happened to me so many times that I went into business for myself and never took another job that cheated me out of my slave wages again.
