I don't know what people consider as rock nowadays, but this is the (very) soft side of BM opus...
Mid-tempo, prog. Band-Maid can take it and do an incredible job of making it theirs (with the Band-Maid sound). They are just a wonderful group of talented young women. This world is better with them in it.

This is also very different vibe for Band Maid as it was a collab with Mike Einziger of Incubus. They met last year at a festival in St. Louis and Mike became an immediate fan. Even talked their monitor tech into letting him sneak onto the side of the stage, as he just couldn't seem to get as close as he wanted to be to the action. 👍 Band Maid generally gets a bit more frenetic. Great reaction.
Actually Mikey-Chan of "Incubus" Helped Kanami write this song ! I Think this is on the milder side of Band-Maid ! Check out the "Blooming" MV it's one of Band-Maids besty✌🤘

Bestie, in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, was co-written by Michael Einziger of Incubus. MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song and beautiful MV! And Miku’s English lyrics are heartfelt. Is Band-Maid a band of fashion-forward, trend-setting Besties? 💞 Thx, Mikey, Band-Maid and Lar!
FYI - The Maids just released a "Making of Bestie" on their websites where they explain the song and look of their awesome MV.

This song is actually not very hard for them. Now they have some songs which def veer into metal. Rinne is maybe their hardest song
