After listening to you too, Express, Express your feelings about fans. You might want to take a pull your heads out of clouds for a minute and remember if it wasn't for the fans you 2 would still be working your 9 to 5 racing southern with outdated cars and no one wanting your autograph!!! Saturday night race show your still racing at a rookie level so may want to back the egos down and not forget what got you where your at today.

Looks to me like the whole staying out of hot laps really hurt, the track was completely different than the night before you gotta get all u can get when your running with the best, great showing on Friday though!!

Well the track was very heavy night two. Honestly need to swap out everything. 23:18 Ive noticed you guys struggle with the tracks when its hammered down. Joseph doea a great job. Keeping up with the track conditions is a major part of it. Needs to be freed up then adjust as the track blows off. I enjoy keeping up with you guys. Thank you for what you do. I spent many years here in east Tennessee playing with those hateful dirt late models .

Yeah I actually know a little about it. Had more than one car too. Rayburn,Barry Wright , DWB,GRT and probably 4 Rocket chassis blue and grey front ends. Crates,supers and steel heads. Wrenched on Team Zeros cars that won..Built street cars and stock 4s back in the day. Covered every track in East Tennessee and north Georgia. ...Eldora ...Florence . Baxter
Thanks for the conversation. Wasn't even being negative toward them. I enjoy keeping up with them because it reminds me of the days and nights I spent doing it. We raced two or three nights a week in the summer

that wasn't a race track! It was a mud pit. Who ever decided to put a years water on the track should be fired.
They did great sold bunches of merchy.
Great video as always guy. Used to race with my dad every week in supers and Modifieds. Nights like this happen. Keep on keepin on. You guys reminded me of nights running 2 cars same night. If you have a bad night in One car you can always out and have a Bad night in the other car too. 😂😂

Facts. They chose a clean car for qualifying rather than setting up for a wet track. 🤔
Some nights you have to gamble I guess? Did they get a chance to hotlap the crate?
They had 15 min between hot laps and qualifying. They made the right choice. They run on heavy tracks like that 1% of the time. Their dry slick set up is what counts and it looks good
@@dirtracer9193 well if that's the facts then they should've changed their setup to account for it but didn't. And also, the track stayed wet so the dry-slick setup never came into play. Bad choices made across the board. IMO
Not sure I understand not hot lapping when the track is a completely different surface from the night before. To save some mud scrapping??
It never would have made a difference honestly. If you have ever watched all of the past races they went to, this track almost never looks like this when they go. IMO they never had a good base line set up for this type of track condition.
Because they wasn’t going to learn anything on a wet track if you noticed a lot of cars didn’t do hot laps and only 8 out of 16 604 did not do hot laps before the feature .

It's the mud you can't scrape off that could change the car and negate and plus you might gain
@@huntervanhise yeah, I’m not sure it would have made any difference either based on how the track seemed to stay that way all night. However I do think going out for hot laps and not being able to turn the car would have been an instant sign to make a big change for qualifying whether it worked or not.
Great Jobe Dusty and Jordan and the entire HTF crew. Sorry you didn't make the Lucas feature, but they sure knew you were there on Friday night! I see at least a podium if not a win against the heavy hitters this year. See you all at the Clash on the Coast.

No worried gents!!! Night 1 went pretty decent ... Changes for night 2 didn't change with the track, that does happen and not only with HTF!!! 604 wasn't bad, just not the leading car ... a tic here and there -- huge difference (but that also goes in the other direction too, sooooooo.... Tenny is OK, that's good to hear -- we never forget about Tenny!!!! All of HTF Crew done very well -- a lot of hard work on the car, ALWAYS!!! Appreciate you guys! I agree. Mud or no mud. You gotta know the conditions and make adjustments. Plain and simple. You have crew members to clean the car up.

Perhaps focus on 1 class, Supers. Skip the Crates and Crown Vic stuff. Jesse and the boys are good players, but you may want to put them in different roles and find a top-tier setup man for the big events. No shade on the team, just suggesting that you use your resources more effectively.
I never knew how many haters these guy's have along with the ultimate experts in this comment section... CRAZY nobody has heard of anyone in the comments and whats even more crazy is that these so called experts aint even on a professional level race team 😂😂😂😂

I done setups for Mike Marlar for a few years and won a lot of races. I offered them my help for FREE. And they won't respond. For free....WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE? I'd try something.
Wet track... Drop j bar on frame, Drop left upper link on frame, put more gear in car. Move lead up and to right. It will turn.

Love hearing the complaints about the track, cause we set the track almost just as what they wanted Friday and them trash soft compound tires strait laying rubber down so with all said we turned into a super wet track for Saturday, i ill guarantee there was no complaints about rubber ha ha ha

Watched both nights on Flo and I think night 1 track was better than night 2... but I get it they didn't want to catch as much flack on night 2 that they got for night 1 for how long it took for them to work the track before the feature

As usual can't turn left, figure out that major issue and this team will be one to watch. Question: Are you allowed to mess with brake bias ?
Yes late models have a brake bias adjuster in the car. That's how he could pitch it in entry. The problem was too tight mid and exit, we call it throttle push cuz that's when you're getting back to the gas and it tightened you up too much. That can be any number of issues from LR spring too heavy, not enough rear stagger, a billion different rear suspension settings off, RF too stiff, etc. Literally dozens of things contribute to that. Some drivers can adjust their driving style for it

I really enjoy watching yalls videos and keeping up with yall! I just have a quick question, does Joseph normally run with all 4 brakes on? Or does he normally run with the RF cut off? I’m just curious cause in the video after qualifying Joseph said he had to switch it to 3 brakes? Or did he mean that he turned the RF brake on? Cause I have a crate late model and I have never even attempted trying to race with the RF turned on!
Hello HTF not the night you guys wanted but lots to build on lot of other teams with far more laps than you guys were struggling too hell the longhorn house car with BShep driving hasn’t found a bunch of speed so far in speedweeks so haters chew on that for a while pretty hard to get any help from them when they are struggling too so keep your heads up and keep working hard speaking of working hard hats off to Jordan and Dusty and ol gaterbait for the great work they do better days are comeing for you guys it’s a long season best of luck boys

I have a question, why would you guys make a comment about the “factory car” not being willing to help? As someone who knows, that was a little bit much in my opinion. You would be surprised at how much help you would receive from Steve and the whole Longhorn crew. I know that you guys probably meant B Shepp would not be willing to give any setup notes but I assure you that you would be surprised at how much help Longhorn is willing to provide if asked. I say this in confidence as I know Steve, Kevin and everyone over at Longhorn, don’t be afraid to ask questions. That’s one reason that longhorn tries to have people at the track, they have people there to answer questions from teams about setup. I have enjoyed catching up on your videos but one thing you should never do is turn down a chance to get oh a racetrack that underwent a complete makeover in 24 hours, no matter how much mud will be on the car.

I told Joseph he should ask them what they were changing since they were struggling too. He said that you’d think they’d be willing to help. Then I said that it was worth walking over there. Next thing you know we’re making adjustments.

Your driver needs a brake and you need a crew chef that knows what he is doing.your driver must be afraid of getting to close to another car.just maybe it’s time to make some changes. The driver would be the number one to take a vacation .
He is afraid to get close. He has given up wins because of it. As for a crew chief, I used to help crew chief for Mike Marlar. I offered my help for free but they will not respond to me. FOR FREE...WHAT YOU GOT TO LOSE??????
