Such an interesting thought - seems that, in contrast to a lot of other skills where as an adult you would learn technique/acquire knowledge in order to actually build that skill, in singing you kind of have to learn your way 'backwards' to get back to the point where a child would just begin to learn by simply doing it and sticking with what feels good. At which point you don't need those videos/tips/programs anymore (most famous singers in the past did quite well without youtube I guess). Anyway, please keep up bringing that nice content, good video as always!
Carl, when you talk about the ease reached once crossing into the paradigm, are you referring to a confidence that arises from your solid technical foundation? And/or make an identity of self as a competent singer?
It's both, confidence in your skills gives you more access to the new paradigm which gives you more ease which gives you more confidence. Skill and mindset create a positive reinforcement loop.
Yes, I would like to step through the portal into this world you speak of.
Carl, well said. Thanks, Joe
This reminds me a little of Victor Wooten’s (The Music Lesson) book. Great read and good stuff that your sharing Brotha.

Realized that I was just kinda rephrasing what you said, just wanted to show that the thought really stuck with me ;)
Yep exactly this, we have to work harder to be learning from a blank slate than younger singers.
