  • Information regarding the rear kick plate bolt method, if your doing a bolt check watch this first.
    I don't think there are enough reports of it happening to warrent taking it apart to potentially make the situation worse on your own ride. if I see more reports of it then i'll change my mind. Also it could have just been a batch over tightened at the factory or maybe in the cases already shown they may have been trying to tighten them themselves and the heads failed on a ride out. just keep it it the knowledge bank and if you have the deck lid up for anything maybe have a look. I would just keep monitoring it.

    Excellent advice.
    Love how you keep your finger on the pulse and respond quickly to any issues that pop up.
    I saw the same posting regards broken bolts 🔩 only the day before and you're right onto it.
    Good onya mate

      Thank you Peter, means a lot. When something like this comes to my attention i was really worried that we would have a real issue with lots of owners stressing them bolts just by checking them, followed by them snapping potentially on a ride.

    Thanks. After seeing the other video I just decided to make inspecting them something I do every 800 km or so, and this video helped me look at the locking nuts too. Absolutely no problems at 800 km.

    Thanks. This was helpful. I'm going to change my bolts out to titanium bolts.

    Thanks! I was planning on buying a set of titanium bolts this week. Looks like a more complicated job than I originally thought.
    I was going to swap out the rear shock for an EXA Form 291r so I may just do everything at once.

      Your Welcome, Glad it has helped someone. Its not a bad job to do provided you take them locknuts off. Its when one snaps that's when the problems begin. Changing the shock will be awesome, good luck.

      @@escootermodificationguides2149 Just to make sure I’ve got this right if you remove the lock notes first you can then pull the bolts out from the top as you would normally and as people have been doing incorrectly correct

    Thank you, that’s very helpful. Do you see this as a nice to do, no need to do, or a must do? It sounds scary based on the video of the issue.

    Which scooter do you recommend the vsett10 + or the dualtron Victor, I am undecided which one to buy, thanks

    • @escootermodificationguides2149
      @escootermodificationguides2149  2 года назад +1

      I'm leaning towards a Dualtron next or Niami as I think the quality may be better. More so on the Dualtron as they have been around ages now.
      Not that the VSett is bad, in fact for the money its probably the best around for its range, speed and features. Also the ability to upgrade is bang on point too. HTH

      I chose the vsett10+ because it has considerably better aftermarket support. And there were some other issues, perhaps weight - I cannot remember.
