Funny to watch Christians justify Tattoos. They get religious stuff or someone who died because they assume that will help justify why. But you got the tattoos for other reasons. People get tattoos to be cool, to get looks, etc. Kids grow up thinking there cool. It’s not bound in any tribal type roots like use too. It’s worlds bottom line. I don’t bash people for getting them, but just say you got em cause you like it and want people to see you as cool.
I saw people citing Leviticus 19:28 to argue against men wearing nail polish, but when it’s tatoos people are talking about how the old covenant isn’t binding
It is not binding although principles can be drawn from it. It not a sin to not have a rail round your roof anymore but you should be making sure your guests and tradesmen aren't in danger visiting your house. That said, I think tattoos may be acceptable at times and at others not. Its not the biggest issue we face.
I keep saying this too it baffles my mind when people quote Leviticus to condemn certain practices but sometimes also see Leviticus as an old law which is void.
@flipjelly5756 the one that doesnt realize works dont save you. Getting a tattoo or not getting one wont save you, only believing Jesus died and rose again will.
@@Easybelievist I’m gonna play devils advocate: James said show me your faith by your deeds. What you do is a reflection of your faith. Sure, getting some ink may not keep your name from being found in the lambs book of life but if my brother is grieved by my works, then I’m no longer walking in love (Rom 14).
@@zfxman02 i feel you. Its really up to the person in how they want to serve. James is a good book on how we should walk. Its up to us weather to be a useless believer or a profitable believer for the Kingdom.
@@Easybelievist of course. But why want a tattoo? Does it edify you or others around you or does it bring glory to Christ? If we are made in the image of God then why write on it with ink? If you walk into an art museum and write all over a Mona Lisa are you improving the artist’s vision? No. God is perfect and His ways are not our ways. But gives us grace to find His will in everything that we do.
I’ve got a whole sleeve from chest to arm. All scripture, pictures of lion of Juda and so on. It has been a start of so many conversations of where a share my faith. And for me I have enjoyed braking down the stigma of the tattood guy.
If we look at all the men in the Bible, none of them had scripture marked on their body to spark conversation. They were simply bold for Christ. Also, tattoo scriptures do not glorify God. We glorify him in truth and in spirit like the Bible instructs us to do. Most importantly, tattoos were forbidden in Leviticus because it was a pagan practice. Christians shouldn’t practice what pagans do. I hope this makes sense!
Its funny how we only have this conversation about tattoos mainly. No one at churches has a problem with pork or mixed fabric clothing or working on sabbath or the other hundreds of laws.
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Those are chapters of your life. I have some as well. I think of them as part of my story. I see where i was deceived and vein. I wear them as lessons to others.
@@leonardwitucke1Yea I see it like that too. There's nothing wrong with trying to get them removed, of course as long as the removal isn't life threatening. The tattoos will always be a part of me, trying to hide em will do no good as it has already been done, all I can do now, or at least to start off, is repent, accept, & learn.
It’s okay if you don’t want any more but don’t get them removed man. It shows the life God has pulled you out of. And they are conversation starters for you to spread the gospel.
I had an older gentleman tell me that getting tattoos is sinful and is destroying the temple of God, so I confronted him about his obesity and health issues due to his poor eating habits and is destroying the temple of God.. my point is same Christ centered relationship different lane. Let’s stop finding issues about each other to condemn ourselves and focus on biblical accountability..
You are absolutely right though, one does not negate the other. We need to take care of the inside and outside of our bodies. We are not our own. We are the temple of the living God so tattoos are like graffiti on a church just like unhealthy habits whether it be eating, overworking, lack of sleep etc also defile/destroy the temple. I think we don't really understand/comprehend or even contemplate the depth of "holiness" and what it means to God, not necessarily what it means what it means to us. God is deep where we are shallow. God is big on spots, blemishes, imperfections, uncleanness b/c those things usually identify with sin. Knowing that, in principle alone we can eliminate a lot of things that seem to be gray. That's why I say when we really know God and his character, some things just don't need to be spelled out. I think what the issue is, is that we (being inclusive here) try to reconcile our carnal habits/interests (especially our treasured ones) with a holy lifestyle and it can't be done. Some things just have to be done away with. Then, if we are being honest with outselves, some of us just do what we want to do.
@@Irra09I don’t find tattoos as “tagging” or graffiti on a person, at least personally, it’s an art, and it starts from that persons personal convictions. I love the posters comment for these non salvation issues and the hypocrisy of it all, someone saying to take care of the temple yet can’t even take the stairs without losing their breath. Immature Christian stuff is this outside concerns
Father spoke to me about my eyeliner tattoos. He reminded me that his word says that I am not my own. I was bought with a price. He asked me to repent for tattooing my body and I did. After that the tattoos faded, and I have no sign that I was ever tattooed. The word says that we are to be separate and not be like the world but unfortunately, that’s not the case. Daily we are manipulated by media and entertainment that tattoos or thick, eyebrows or short skirts are a trend and we must go with the trend. But again father reminded me that I am not my own that I was bought with a price, he reminded me that I am to separate myself from the world. I am not from the world, and that I am to consecrate myself and walk in purity and holiness. These things come with a very high price, which many refuse to pay.
I have a few tats but since God has transformed me by his Spirit, I no longer care for anymore because I was only getting them to look cool(I still like the tats I have and not hating them), others who get them I'd never condemn anyone else but just truly follow your convictions because tats are beautiful and it's art but truly listen to how God's Spirit leads us be honest about what the tats are for❤
That's it, 100%. It's about where your heart is at. If you know that you were getting them for selfish reasons, then it's not God glorifying, therefore it would be best to refrain from doing so. I got tattoos when I was in college, and I got one that was gospel oriented design, but I won't lie ... some parts of me got it because I thought it looked nice. I regret getting it now, because I know my heart wasn't fully in the right place. I really think that it's hard for people to get tattoos without having some self-centered thoughts involved in it, which is why I advise anyone who thinks about getting one to not get one. Not to mention that it's permanent. Even when you get a tattoo removal, which is incredibly expensive and painful, it doesn't erase it well enough. There are still clear tattoo residues and blemishes even after removals

The truth I believe is that we were under different covenants w God throughout history. COVENANT is TESTAMENT. SO therefore old testament is a different covenenant then when Jesus came to make a new COVENANT w the world and God's people. So the old Jewish laws and customs are not required for our salvation.. only believing in Jesus as Our SAVIOR The Messiah ( The Christ) Yeshuah Hamashiac is All We Need ..Faith over works All glory to Jesus our Lord and King our Father creator healer maker redeemer..praise JESUS AMEN
Covenants are for jewish israelites always have been. We gentiles were never under any covenant because we were far from God and had no hope but now jesus blood attonment has made us NEAR to him where all we have to do is believe in jesus finished work on the cross paid and settled all of out sin debt.
This is a great conversation... I love the way that there is something to be learned from all those who follow after Christ (although I'm a Christian hard and fast). Very cool Ruslan.
I agree with this point. When I mentioned it in a live stream Ruslan said it was “goofy” 😂 I used to really want to get tats but after I got saved lost any desire for them as I feel it’s kind of attention seeking. Not to say everyone does it for that reason, but that was my conviction.
I have a different argument for tattoo's. I personally don't feel the need to perfect what god already designed me as. I do have 1 tatt I got the day I turned 18. I was saved from the shackles of sin a little less than a year later. My other point is about the pain. I'm pretty sure your average person would agree that pain has a purpose and it is to alert you to there being something wrong with your body. How you could look at it any differently than cutting or branding is pretty mind blowing. Sounds sinister to me but hey, what do I know! I'm just a sinner like you.
You cannot see or apply the law as a buffet.. Either you keep the whole law (good luck with that), or you accept Grace.. It's one or the other... If you really take the law seriously, then do you know you can't keep it and turn to the Grace and Truth.. Jesus! 😘❤️ By Grace through faith!
I don't have tattoos but I have pierced ears. Both traditionally have been frowned upon so I cannot treat tats as something sinful while sitting here with holes in my earlobes that I wasn't born with. It is truly a liberty issue.
@@sebastiansoto9451 It was a rhetorical question but I should've been more clear. I appreciate you giving some context. Also, in Exodus 35 and Numbers 31, the Israelites bring earrings (along with some other jewelry) as an offering to the Lord. Additionally, they're spoken of "favorably" in Prov 25 vs 12 "Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is a wise man's rebuke to a listening ear." I probably should've included all this in my original reply.
@@TOF2485 sure, pierced ears are largely harmless now, but during Victorian times it was seen as uncouth. Cultural norms of the times play a huge role in determining if something is harmless or harmful.
I’m wrestling, hear me out. My entire life I’ve been told I should be a tattooist, in school I would draw on my arm from wrist to shoulder and I became known for it, people in the street thought they were sleeve tattoos. I’ve never been able to get into it for personal reasons, I’ve tried multiple times. It’s been 12 years now that I’ve been dedicating my life to learning how to tattoo But it’s still never came into fruition. A few months ago I had an encounter with Gods spirit and I was born again, I stopped smoking weed, by the grace of God. We stopped fornicating, by the grace of God, I’ve been given a new heart with more patience and less anger…. With this I’ve wrestled with this question, “how can I tattoo Roman/ Egyptian/ Hindu Gods knowing the true living GOD is real?” After my encounter I wasn’t wrestling anymore, but it is the only way I will ever make good money- everybody knows it. I’m not a selfish person, and my money will never sit and be accumulated, il always use it to help people in my life, I’ve always been that way by the grace of God. I strongly that in these times, these end times, God is holding back judgement so we can save as many as possible, and I don’t believe religion can do that. Therefore what if I abstained from tattooing blasphemies? And what if I used my future studio as a a place to spread the gospel to people that wouldn’t usually get it. Remembering Jesus’ most important commandments, love thy neighbour? If my neighbour won’t go to church, or read the bible on his own, would it not be pleasing to the Lord that even in those places, his word is still prevalent? Some can say I’m a hypocrite, but do you really think God will keep us from eternal life, regardless of all our worship to him, because we have tattoos? After all we’ve been through?
I love your thought process. I’m actually a tattoo artist. I’ve been a believer for most, if not all, of my life. I just want to say don’t compromise. I use the word and ask the Holy Spirit to guide me on what tattoos I do and do not do. I’ve seen amazing things happen for the kingdom in my studio and in conversations that have come up in sessions. I’ve found that by me upholding standards when it comes to what I will or won’t tattoo, people generally have a positive response and inquire to learn more about the Bible.
Regarding the questions that you ask at the end of your post, that's not a question to ask us. You need to ask God that. After all, they are HIS standards not ours.
Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. It sounds to me like since this tattoo thing has never worked out for you and you feel conflicted about it then it’s not in God’s plan for your life. He has been giving you your answer this whole time that its not His will for you. Pray on it and He will lead you down the right road. He never said this life was gonna be easy but as long as we follow Him then our lives will be blessed far beyond the physical riches of this world Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
If people are getting tattoos still "tryin to be cool" then that's a problem. That's still trying to identify yourself with an image. We created in the image of God, or are we trying to recreate our image in another direction?
My husband has one tattoo, and he’s planning on one more. The one he has at the moment is a wrist watch with the date and time that our first daughter was born. The next one will be a another form of clock with the date and time of our second daughter. I personally don’t think getting a tattoo is wrong. The type of tattoo shouldn’t be offensive though. However, I’m not Jewish.
James White also mentions the word for tattoo is a hapax legomena. (A word only used once). So we don’t have multiple passages to see what it actually means. But the equivalent text in Deuteronomy says don’t shave your forehead for the dead. Which leads me to believe that the issue is doing things “for the dead”, which were pagan practices surrounding fear or even reverence for the dead.
I have tattoos and got them in my early walk in the faith and some are symbols from books and games and some are work I earned when not in my faith and I also have a memorial, during the past 7 years I have regretted getting them and wished I hadn't as how I know it offends the father. If and when I have the time and money I will be getting them covered up with black or lazered off. I feel there isn't enough repentance I can do to distance myself from the sin I have committed in getting them and how I earned some, yet I trust in Jesus and his sacrifice in cleaning me of that sin, and the freedom I will have in death from them.
According to Galatians 5:9, it only takes a little leaven to leaven the whole batch of dough. So we need to be really careful being selective in honoring the Biblical Laws of Jehovah.
I'm inked up everywhere. And still getting more. They all represent my faith or my family. I get complements on them and it opens doors for conversations. I think that's one thing I'll never change my mind on. I used to be against them now I embrace them lol.
The argument, is always from customs of the law, which gentiles had nothing to do with ! Which many Christians arguing this point forgets, everything under the law was for Jewish nations .. New Testament, is a new covenant, and Although it’s says,
Treat your temple , as of god . Doesn’t say anywhere not to get a tattoos, as a Christian man, everything should be taken in subjection unto the spirit what you do to your body( temple ) rather is be over eating , sexual immorality are any sin done to the body. Unless your work be into idolatry , let everything be done wisely, But artwork centered around god, should be fare . As I have many scriptures on my body ! That represents my walk as a Christian believer. Every time customs of the law is bought back up to defend, you fall back into what was broken down . The law … To have a sit down with someone in your church , as the lead . But you have tattoos . Is questionable . And there is where people in the church, fill like they’ve been judged, and fall away from churches, Truth should be examine and the heart of the motive, and unless it is upon a righteous judgement who can condemn.

God said I don’t Change. It does not matter what generation we are in sin is sin. If God say not to do something we don’t do it. If God tell us to do something we do it.
Revelation 19:16 there’s a name written on his robe and on his Thigh “King of Kings and Lord of Lords” now if the resurrected Jesus has a name written on his thigh, that ain’t magic marker ;) I always love using this passage to challenge legalistic people in the idea of tattoos being sinful from the Old Testament. There’s definitely a discussion to be had. I love what he says in the video about permissible. Good video
Great angle. However, I think we need to understand the context and imagery of the text. When we read the Bible, it’s important to not take things literally and to look at each word carefully. If He has on a robe, how are his thighs exposed? Maybe it was written in the thigh part of the robe. And also it says it’s written on there not marked. Tattoos are markings. There’s a lot of questions to ask within this text.
@@GeneseJ great truth! Yes. I use it to break down their legalism. The people I work with are often unable to think critically even yet. One of the poorest countries with terrible education system, that makes the US elementary schools look like Ivy League! But there’s something you said that I don’t agree with maybe. Whether you can see his thigh or not is irrelevant ☺️ And you said not to take it literally but you’re applying things literally in a sense perhaps. And you said read the Bible not. To take things literally…that’s a giant meta narrative statement, so that needs to be changed. When you read the book of revelation it does not only have Prose, or narrative or poetry, so you need to know which one you’re reading in which verses to know how to start interpreting it properly ☺️ And the word you are using “marking” is not accurate for tattoos today. They are written or drawn, some are markings, but what does the English word marking depict the Hebrew word? Good discussion!
People in the world are drawn to all those things that are for the flesh and not the spirit. Satan is always trying to copy the things of the kingdom. The Holy Spirit of God seals us, literally marking us in the spirit because we belong to God as soon as we believe, but Satan is always trying to copy what God does, especially with the concept of tattoos. The more we seek God in prayer, the less of the fleshly desire. I think we definitely need to be true to ourselves. This generation needs to get back to prayer and seeking God's face. We need to die to ourselves so that God can be glorified. In the end our bodies belong to GOD. We need to seek God's face and ask the Holy Spirit what he wants us to do even when it comes to tattoos. Besides, tattoos cause an increase in antibodies, so even the body is trying to tell you that it does not belong in your skin.
I am messianic. I have a tattoo, I got it while serving in the navy. This was before I realized HaShem does NOT approve of this. Las t December my family and I went to a Hanukkah party at a local Chabad congregation. I was invited to lay tefilin. The rabbi saw the tattoo on my arm, I felt shame. I can’t wait to get it remove, this tattoo separates me from my people
I'm Christian since I was 10 years old, I wanted to get a tattoo when I was 21 so I told my mother and she told me no, you're not supposed to fallow the world ! Besides I don't give you permission, I told her that it wasn't bad and that I was all ready living alone working and that I didn't need her permission, she told me that God command me to"honor your father and your mother" and that was meant to be forever not until I was of age, always ! and being 21 meant nothing to God and proceeded to told me, now you know my answer go and do as you wish, I was mad because she told me that but she was right and I didn't do it, because I needed God's favor in my life I still need God's favor in my life and that is the first commanding with blessing, so the holly spirit didn't allowed it either and that itch of getting a tattoo passed very quickly.
Honoring your parents doesn’t mean obeying your parents. You can honor your parents by obeying them, but that’s not to say that if you ever do something contrary to their desires you are dishonoring them. When you become an adult, you are responsible for your life and actions. And a wise person will seek the council of his parents, but sometimes you will simply have a difference of opinion or sometimes they will be flat out wrong. Are you bound to obey them on something that there wrong in? Seek the will of God in this matter Through the Bible, see what it has to say, seek godly counsel, pray pray pray and if you can get this tattoo without violating your conscience , then I’d say go for it.

As far as the circumcision question that was the teaser, I hope the rabbi mentions Romans 2.29, Ephesians 2.11-3, Colossians 2.11-23 in the full clip. In short, circumcision of the body is not a requirement to be saved. When you're saved, your heart has been circumcised through faith in Jesus, so there's no point in being physically circumcised for faith-based reasons; Jesus has taken care of it.

So what happens when you get a tattoo and the person is alive, then that person dies, what will you tell the person who asks why did you get that tattoo on your arm? You have now a tatoo on your arm for the dead. God's guiding principles are still relevant and important. Walk wisely among the Gentiles.

It is a ceremonial law for that specific time and people. It being abolished is crystal clear in the New Testament. If the old ceremonial law still needs to be followed, then men must not trim their beards, and we must not eat a medium rare steak. Even though Jesus Himself says it is not what a man puts in his mouth that defiles him but what comes out of his mouth (speech).

Christians don't want to believe that. Christians mix law and grace together because they don't rightly divide the word of God like jesus commanded us to and study to show thy self approved. Smh i am so glad god opened my eyes to apostle Paul's gospel.
Right, like I also wanna know what he says at the end about the circumcision thing too because Paul was very clear about not requiring Christians to get circumcised! It’s the very thing that he rebuked Peter for
If the purpose is to unite in the Body of Christ which is the church, why is it okay for different congregations like these to follow their own sets of rules while others don't have too. For example, they say it's sin to eat pork and shrimp but another brother from a different congregation thinks it's permissible and acceptable. Is the Holy Spirit telling different things to his believers? This is the confusion in all this.
100% agree with you. I have a Moses tattoo on my arm where he is striking the rock to fetch water and a hebrew אהבה tattoo on my ring finger (wife has the same one). I reach way more people with those tattoos than I ever would without them. PLUS: Revelation 19 speaks about the words "King of Kings" written on Jesus' thigh. hmmmmm? Could Jesus have a tattoo when he come back for that awesome mic drop moment?
I think the motive of prohibiting tattoos is similar to the motives of cutting your sideburns. Both are related to ancient cultish practices. If you believe you can get a nice clean haircut then you logically could get a tattoo. The key is how culturally is that accepted in your circle. I wouldn’t get a tattoo because of the negative impact it will have on those around me (creating controversy). If I create an environment within my community that is more accepting of tattoos then maybe it will change.
I’m subscribed, but 3 self promos in 1 video is too much. It’s a turn off, especially when I’m already subscribed, and i think that’s why you don’t have more views or subscribers. Tattoos have always been a pagan practice. Jerusalem also backslid worse than the heathen's and adopted many of their practices at one point so I wouldn't use them as an example. Our bodied are not our own, we were bought with a price and our bodies are a temple. When we get closer to God and understand his character, issues like these start to be less gray.
I have my thoughts but pray on it, seek a "thus said the Lord" and not someone else's opinion and the Holy Spirit will let you know as he will never lead you to do something contrary to God's Word.
"Truly, truly I say to you" - Jesus That's my tattoo. The OT law banning tattoo is speaking of the practice of tattooing pagan gods and practices. We have 10 laws, not 600.
I have heard ofJewish Christians, because of course, there are many Jews who come to faith in Christ (all the 12 apostles, etc.)... but how does one justify/support with Scripture a "messianic rabbi"? Christ has established bishops, elders, pastors (translating 2 Greek words), not rabbis; is this a matter of Jewish folks trying too hard to hold.on to the Mosaic Covenant, rather than loving and accepting the N.T. book specifically addressed to them (Hebrews) and its teaching on the covenants?
I don't think highly of tattoos and I am a FORMER ART educator, who knows some of my students who make a living by becoming tattoo artists. However, I met a Youth pastor who discussed a problem with many HS students...trying to fit in with GANG culture in public schools...its a big deal. There are prisoners who get tattoos to show what gang they belong to for protection. So I think of it as a criminal element. IT literally kills your Christian testimony!

Here's where I stand on the issue: I have tattoos that were put on my body before Christ. Since then, God has put a conviction in my heart about them. He brought me to several scriptures to help me better understand. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. If our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, why should we mark it up? For those of you still considering getting a tattoo as a believer, can you explain to me how getting a tattoo is part of living a holy life? I don't condemn you for wanting one. But I do hope sharing the truth of scripture will help.
How about this when u was a child u did child thing but when you became a man you put all chialdish things away if you are born again u cant get more bc the bible says to treat your body as a temple but when u gave your heart to god its no longer your body so what u want to do is diffrent than what god wants you to do the key thing is get in the holly spirt and really look see ifits right to have tatos
We shouldn't sin period.. if we are to be perfect in heaven then why not get a head start here on earth. Jesus didn't abolish the law He fulfilled it. Not saying we should be like the pharisees condemning everything but we should also not completely ignore GODS rules. They are in place for a reason.
When it comes to tattoos piercing ect. Your body is a temple so basically you should not be making any permanent modification. Some would say the Israelites had piercings a lot those things were behaviors picked up from Egyptian cultures and gods and others culture just because it happened does mean it was right. They got those laws when they came out of Egypt since they needed a reminder of the law after being in a pagan nation for so long. When times got hard these are same things speaking of jewelery that they used to make the golden calf. We are to follow as well to not end up as the modern day Babylon. We cannot brand ourselves like the world, dress like the world and expect to be seen as different. I know some people had them before there were saved but we cant continue getting them and saying they are ok.
There is a spiritual significance to the act of cutting your flesh and letting out blood even if the technique had changed over time. The same act was done by the pagans to worship their demon gods. Even if your intention or motivation for getting one may be innocent or well meaning its the origin from which its derived that God is against but i would caution everyone to bring it before the Lord.

😂
nail polish just feels kinda gay lol
It is not binding although principles can be drawn from it. It not a sin to not have a rail round your roof anymore but you should be making sure your guests and tradesmen aren't in danger visiting your house.
That said, I think tattoos may be acceptable at times and at others not. Its not the biggest issue we face.
I keep saying this too it baffles my mind when people quote Leviticus to condemn certain practices but sometimes also see Leviticus as an old law which is void.
@@funcash5808 tbh I found that mindset a big turn off from considering christianity for the longest time.

My only issue is when I hear Christian’s saying the body is a temple for tattoos….yet so many Christian’s are fat.

@@Mattithias what is this for the dead? How is this lion tatoo any different?
If we look at all the men in the Bible, none of them had scripture marked on their body to spark conversation. They were simply bold for Christ. Also, tattoo scriptures do not glorify God. We glorify him in truth and in spirit like the Bible instructs us to do. Most importantly, tattoos were forbidden in Leviticus because it was a pagan practice. Christians shouldn’t practice what pagans do. I hope this makes sense!
Its not a heaven or hell issue if you have. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

Its funny how we only have this conversation about tattoos mainly. No one at churches has a problem with pork or mixed fabric clothing or working on sabbath or the other hundreds of laws.

@@leonardwitucke1Yea I see it like that too. There's nothing wrong with trying to get them removed, of course as long as the removal isn't life threatening. I love this ❤️ we gotta do better I feel we looking for things to call out others on but we don’t check ourselves or our hearts
One can lose the weight
Agreed

No tattoos. You wouldnt spray paint the walls of the temple of Solomon, or draw on the curtains of the tabernacle.
Well put
I agree with this point. When I mentioned it in a live stream Ruslan said it was “goofy” 😂 I used to really want to get tats but after I got saved lost any desire for them as I feel it’s kind of attention seeking. Not to say everyone does it for that reason, but that was my conviction.

@Jermilli Vanilli no. Jesus teaches clearly that gentiles aren’t living under the messianic law. Galatians 2, Roman’s, Philippians 3 etc.

I don't have tattoos but I have pierced ears. Both traditionally have been frowned upon so I cannot treat tats as something sinful while sitting here with holes in my earlobes that I wasn't born with. It is truly a liberty issue.
Didn't the Israelites wear earrings?
Pierced ears are ok.
@@Mere...Greene Not sure, but they would for sure pierce a slave’s ear who decided not to choose freedom over lifetime of servitude
@@sebastiansoto9451 It was a rhetorical question but I should've been more clear. I appreciate you giving some context. Also, in Exodus 35 and Numbers 31, the Israelites bring earrings (along with some other jewelry) as an offering to the Lord. Additionally, they're spoken of "favorably" in Prov 25 vs 12

With this I’ve wrestled with this question, “how can I tattoo Roman/ Egyptian/ Hindu Gods knowing the true living GOD is real?”
After my encounter I wasn’t wrestling anymore, but it is the only way I will ever make good money- everybody knows it.
He never said this life was gonna be easy but as long as we follow Him then our lives will be blessed far beyond the physical riches of this world

It's easy, just don't get tatts and expand the Kingdom of God, Be more like Jesus and less like the world

And you said not to take it literally but you’re applying things literally in a sense perhaps.
And you said read the Bible not. To take things literally…that’s a giant meta narrative statement, so that needs to be changed. When you read the book of revelation it does not only have Prose, or narrative or poetry, so you need to know which one you’re reading in which verses to know how to start interpreting it properly ☺️
And the word you are using “marking” is not accurate for tattoos today. They are written or drawn, some are markings, but what does the English word marking depict the Hebrew word?

I can’t believe you cut it where you cut it Ruslan

Right, like I also wanna know what he says at the end about the circumcision thing too because Paul was very clear about not requiring Christians to get circumcised! It’s the very thing that he rebuked Peter for
There’s quite a few contradictions in his speech and he is talking in circles.
@@AFallin2023 agreed.
There was a difference between the ceremonial law and the moral law, tattoos are part of the ceremonial law, only the moral law is still applicable
We don't do that
I feel like I’m the only person out there without a tattoo these days.
We cast demons out of people that came through tattoos regularly. Because of that it’s a hard no for me
This is satire right
I’ve got sleeves on both arms, never had a demon in me, I have the Holy Spirit inside me.
@@bigfootlochness same I’ve tattooed most of my body and I don’t have demons haha
I’m subscribed, but 3 self promos in 1 video is too much. It’s a turn off, especially when I’m already subscribed, and i think that’s why you don’t have more views or subscribers.
I can’t imagine how frustrated someone is if they have to deal with the regular ads plus your ads just for a 5 min discussion
I never wanted tattoos really, but I recently had a dream that I had a menorah tattooed on my neck. I think I might get it.
Ok
I have my thoughts but pray on it, seek a "thus said the Lord" and not someone else's opinion and the Holy Spirit will let you know as he will never lead you to do something contrary to God's Word.
I got a tattoo at Razzouk!
Anyone know who the guy with Ruslan is.
I can eat 15 pieces of cake and that's permissible... ah no that would be serious gluttony
"Truly, truly I say to you" - Jesus
That's my tattoo.
I've never wanted a tattoo, so it's not an issue for me. There's no way I'm gonna let anyone stick those needles in me.
I respectfully disagree brothers 🙏🏽 I don’t regret any of the MANY tattoos I have, and I don’t think my faith , salvation, or daily walk have anything to do with what it is you see on the outside of my cup.
Don’t deface your temple, but also, the Sistine Chapel ain’t graffiti.
That is an absolute stupid comparison.

Romans 6:14-15 (KJV) 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Romans 7:4-6 (KJV) 4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter.
Galatians 3:10-13 (KJV) 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:
Galatians 5:1-6 (KJV) 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 2:7-9 (KJV) 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as [the gospel] of the circumcision [was] unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) 9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we [should go] unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
@godblessstudios brother i actually used to be a tattoo artist and i had the most super natural experience with God where i was actually levitating in the air, never used to believe in God, but now im head over toes for him. I would love to send you my testimony, maybe you can read it and share it with your audience, i talk about tattoos and why their just not right(keep in mind i have them too so im not judging anyone). When you get one all your doing is just feeding your flesh.
You are right on point. Before Christ is one thing, after Christ is another. Would you buy a beautiful house and write all over it? No.
I believe tats are not for Christians.
No tattoos.. do you think paul or peter will get one?
This host is a treat!!!!! Justifying his tattoos!!!
Leviticus 19:28
“Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord.”
We shouldn't sin period.. if we are to be perfect in heaven then why not get a head start here on earth. Jesus didn't abolish the law He fulfilled it. Not saying we should be like the pharisees condemning everything but we should also not completely ignore GODS rules. They are in place for a reason.
All the tattoos disappear when u go to heaven anyway
Why do we have to break this down. It’s of the world period. It’s culturally adapting to the world.
Your ads are annoying the heck out of me now. Unsubbed. Like calm that down to one announcement, jeez.
Agreed, it's a little much.
Think it was more applicable to the time when the Caaninite and Phoenician cult of moloch was growing.
Amen
Vanity, vanity all is vanity. Tell me, do you think your resurrected bodies have those old tattoos?
