    This is the only foundation I have use since 2015. My skin tone is also very fair/cool, and it is the best I have found that is affordable. I think cream concealer underneath works well for covering acne and dark spots. Plus it stays dewy throughout the day instead of getting splotchy

    I’m so pleased that it works for your skin tone ! I love to watch Jessica too , and I’ve been wondering how this product would work for the very fair skinned. As always I wish more companies were cruelty free because then I would buy their products , but my wallet is probably glad it’s not getting as much of a work out lol 😂 thank you for the little pop up showing it’s cruelty free status , it’s very nice to have that mentioned !

    I like the Misha Signature essence BB cream in #13. It's spf 50, def more liquid, and buildable with the antimicrobial puff I use. It does oxidize a bit whiter but that's perfect for me. It does have a bit of a fragrance but it's very slight, and just like their intensive moist first essence smells. I wear all day with no problem but I don't use any powder or concealer or foundation (I am older and for me those things just emphasize flaws rather than hide them). In winter I might use the Missha signature cushion compact in 21 by itself or with the BB cream if I need extra coverage.

      @Nilmavi 6 лет назад

      shadowmatrx Do you know how the Missha puff is antimicrobial? I can't use cushion puffs a second time because it seems not so hygenic to put a damp puff with foundation in a closed box. I feel like it will grow molt

      It’s a pleasure! I was a bit disappointed in the ingredients too, but if I only use it occasionally and cleanse my skin well, it should be fine!

    Thank you for pointing out it's not cruelty free, some of those Korean brands can be hit and miss and you never know what is or isen't cruelty free half the time. I saw it at the Chinese grocery store and I was tempted to buy it since summer is coming and I'm looking for a new BB cream now that my skin is no longer oily. Too bad it looked lovely on your skin.

      I know it's been 11 months but if anyone ever reads it, I would like to point out that no cosmetic that is available in China is cruelty-free because it is chinese law that demands that the product was tested on animals.

    I love Korean BB creams in place of foundation, but Missha tends to be more fragranced and not extremely pale or darker than medium. Ur skin looks amazing regardless, and I would love to see u do a glass skin tutorial....ur complexion is so flawless u could really rock it!

    I bought this last year after researching Korean BB Creams since, like you, I am very fair and American BB Creams are all too dark and/or orange. I like the color of #13 but I always find I get really oily after a few hours of wearing this, and my skin is not usually like that. I think it's from the mineral oil or heavy silicones so I haven't used it much lately. I do want to try Laniege as they have an 11.

    • @ArnaAlayneMorton
      @ArnaAlayneMorton  6 лет назад +3

      Yes and the waxes make it feel oily too! It has very similar ingredients to Dermacol and I wouldn’t use that daily!

    I recently joined Reddit and everybody raves about the Missha BB creams on the PaleMUA forum! I'm surprised that the ingredients are so iffy -- usually K beauty products are much better in that respect. This seems like it's a really nice shade on you, for now anyways!
    WALL OF TEXT INCOMING 😛
    Regarding the shade selection, I definitely agree that they need to expand. To be honest, I actually felt a bit uncomfortable when I reviewed the Bisutang BB Cream on my channel because I try so hard to support companies with better shade ranges and discuss shade range openly -- beforehand, I even asked a bunch of my friends their opinion on Korean brands having limited shades and whether I should be judging them as harshly as any other brand whose shade range I've criticized. I've been learning a lot lately about colourism in South Korea, so it's definitely helped me realize that it can even be difficult for people living in Korea to find a shade match from their local beauty lines because they don't go dark enough. Some brands have even discontinued their darker shades, even though they were selling well. A lot of their beauty standards have just been deeply ingrained in their culture for a long time, so I can see how it will take time for changes to slowly start to be made. It would just be nice for everyone to find a shade, no matter where they live 💜💜

      Honestly, nearly every foundation on the planet contains not good for skin ingredients haha I give up!! I want Drunk Elephant to create makeup 🙌🏻 thanks for the explanation of the shades in Korea! Very helpful and insightful xx

      palegirlchic Missha BB cream is actually a good shade range for BB creams. At least it’s not one shade but I understand the issue. Innisfree has made a lot of shades recently especially of their cushion because their aiming towards the western market more.

    in college 13 was the shade I wore all winter and spring, but looking back at pictures sometimes I looked so pink or grey. my skin is neutral leaning yellow at about the same depth as you, Huda 110 is my perfect winter shade, and pür bare it all in fair works for me almost year round. I'm glad I switched to shade 21 for the summer back then at least!! it looked so good on my skin and didn't accentuate any dry patches, and it held on to my oily T-zone. taking me back lol. thanks for the review!!

    • @ArnaAlayneMorton
      @ArnaAlayneMorton  6 лет назад

      Yes Korean B.B. creams do tend to have a slight grey tint, but the Laneige ones don’t :)

  • @coastlines
    @coastlines 6 лет назад +4

    It can work for us oil slicks if you like the dewy look, but it does require more maintenance (setting, blotting throughout the day, perhaps setting again). I'm more of a cool-yellow, so the color is slightly off/pink on me, which is the only reason why it's no longer my go-to. The fragrance is unfortunate, though. It smells nice but is totally unnecessary!

    Honestly I like this one way better than laneige and innisfree. I've been using this since 2010 and I am 30 now and I look 17 or 18 since this bb cream helps my skin. When I wash it I have no scars no pigmentation and poreless. I am still using Missha and I always get many compliments how young I look.

  • @ReptarsaurusRex
    @ReptarsaurusRex 6 лет назад +1

    I love this BB cream. The shade #13 is a really good shade match for me and it lasts surprisingly well without primer on my oily skin. I notice when I do wear primer, it looks more makeup-y and separated at the end of the day, very oily, especially on my cheeks.
    It's weird how even when I use a silicone-based primer it doesn't last as long as with no primer.
    My favorite part about this BB cream is the shade. I read a lot of people say it is quite a gray shade, and I'm actually quite a gray person, so it works out! It is better to be aware of that before buying it though, because from my understanding, if you are warmer toned and you put on a grayish foundation, it won't look good haha.

    • @ArnaAlayneMorton

    You mentioned you like inorganic (mineral) sunscreens better than organic (chemical)... Would you ever consider doing a video of your favorite sunscreens (tinted or not)? With fair skin it’s harder to notice a white cast of course, but I find many inorganic sunscreens leave me looking purple.

    Hi Arna, I was surprised at how sheer this BB cream was but after you put the rest of your makeup on, your skin looked amazing which tells me your look was more about your technique and products than the sheer BB cream. Please consider doing a video where you show us your makeup techniques & products when you (more like your viewers) put on a foundation that ends up being too sheer. Great, informative video. Thanks for pointing out the questionable ingredients. I’ve actually used this some time ago and remember that I did like it.

    If it was fragrance free, I would love it! Fragrance is so bad for the skin and you can smell that it has quite a lot in it. Coverage, shade, longevity, price...everything was great but then I discovered the fragrance in the ingredients list 😒 such a bummer

    • @hannahd7207
      @hannahd7207 6 лет назад +1

      Yes! Also lots of people have sensitivities to smell & fragrance (especially man-made ones) can cause migraines and nausea. I am fortunately less sensitive than others but some perfumes will worsen my migraines.

    It seems a good product for my dry skin but there are a lot of disadvantages. The color would be too pinkish on me, the fragrance and the bad ingredients. It would be a waste of money and I won't purchase it.
    Instead, I'm curious about the Laniege products, I've never heard of this brand before. I hope I'll find their products here in Italy (or Europe).

    I do not like this product, AT ALL. The smell is overwhelming. I would rather, and do, wear IT Cosmetics CC cream with a sponge to shear it out more like a BB cream. I purchased 2 of MISSHA BB creams, different formulas, and threw them both away. I have pretty dry skin but this BB cream made my face feel like an oil slick.

      Montana Snowflake I hate the perfume too cuz it breaks me out crazy bad☹️

    I wouldn't purchase it due to the heavy waxes that can clog pores. Thank you for doing a review.!

      Weird I never have clog pores from that. I always use cleansing oil then use a foam cleanser to removed the bb cream out.

    I’m confused. You showed the light coverage of the product but then put the rest of your makeup on and it now looks full coverage due to all of the products you applied over it.
    For an actual wear test, it should (at least) be without the finishing powder. No part of your face was left with just the Missha. 😔

    • @NYandAZ
      @NYandAZ 6 лет назад +1

      To be fair, it LOOKS like your whole face was powdered. I can’t assume that. Sorry about my ASSumption. 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @ArnaAlayneMorton
      @ArnaAlayneMorton  6 лет назад +2

      Haha an assumption indeed BUT I’ll forgive you because it’s a compliment to my concealer technique 🤗 In future, I’ll add in clips of me finishing my face too! Thanks for the feedback on that - very helpful! And for your info, I used concealer on my blemishes & under eyes (NARS soft matte in Chantilly) and only set under my eyes and my blemishes with powder (Models Prefer Mineral Veil) - so not the whole face xx

      I wear the cc cream in fair, for reference Huda 110 and pür bare it all in fair are good foundation matches for me. the cc cream looks good on me in the winter when my combo skin leans dry, but it's super dewy and the flashback from the sunscreen makes it totally unsuitable for photos :( it does not seem especially long wearing or anything.

      I’m never 100% if a product specifically is breaking me out as I’m trying new products all the time (at the moment, it’s literally every week a new one haha) but the ingredients have some big red flags!

    • @NataliaPessoaXOXOMAKE
      @NataliaPessoaXOXOMAKE 6 лет назад

      It’s one of the old school BB creams. There are better base products out there. And cushions are the current IT product in Korea with a bigger formula variety.
