    2 questions. It looks like you actually lost some ground clearance? Second, is that notch between the 2 skids a great place to get hung up? I'd almost rather have the factory set up and take my chances, rather than the apparent few inches of clearance you lost and the that NON flat large groove between the 2 skids. I am trying to like the idea of skids in place of factory but..................

      It does hang down about an inch and have not had any hangup issues in that notch so far but ai agree with you on that. The metal cloak skid is better as it is all smooth but it is heavier and more exoensive because it is steel.
      As for choosing oem vs this that means choising no engine skid and a flimsy 12"x24" piece is netal for the t case.
      I beat this up in moab last fall and held up just fine even with the decreased breakover angle.
