This story of innovation and passion for the sport is absolutely incredible. Kyle, thank you so much for putting this together and Allen really appreciate you sharing your passion and helping create the industry and mountain toys we all know and love today.
Great interview! Cool to hear the whole back story to Timbersled! One question that I was wondering about (only because I owned one) Allen didn't bring up Timbersled's acquisition of UFO in...2013/2014 I think. I live in North Idaho and UFO kits were manufactured in Osburn, ID. I was curious if Timbersled used any of Justin's ideas from the UFO kit. The one I owned was a total POS but had a cool design, just needed more refinements before selling to the public. I feel like UFO was the first "competitor" to Timbersled and they ate them up before they got any momentum in the industry and that most people have forgotten about them or never knew they exsisted LOL.
Innerspace Watersports Chad is my home town dealer. Like the only dedicated snow bike shop in 100s of kms. Was a really good choice to be a dealer for MTN Top! Between Chad and then Reagan as an ambassador you’ve got a good Okanagan BC team.
Allen, this is a great interview and I appreciate your talent and work ethic. As Rush’s father and the grandfather of his two great kids, we were obviously concerned when he told us about the decision to change careers and come work for you. It reminds me of the decision we made as a family to move to Montana 26 years ago, so we support him 100% in whatever he does. I remember the first snowmobile he brought home, cost him maybe a couple of hundred $. Same with the old Honda 250. Both were being wrecked and repaired constantly. He did all the work himself, as well as his love of boats too. You do need to teach him how to keep a clean shop, however 😂. Good luck to all of you with this new venture.
too bad there are not any dealers around me, id love to try one! currently trying to see if i can find a timbersled to rent for a weekend and see if ill like it more than a sled.
