- Because the Xbox Showcase was SO GOOD this year, our 30-minute live reaction show from Sunday just wasn't enough. So we regrouped and talked for upwards of two more hours about all the big games, from Doom: The Dark Ages to Gears of War: E-Day to Fable to Perfect Dark to Black Ops 6 and so, so many more. Then we lay out how phenomenal the next year and a half of Xbox exclusives and Xbox Game Pass launches is looking before telling you a bit about a few other games we got to see and play at the event last week, including Xbox exclusives STALKER 2 and Replaced!

Hard disagree on Stella's take on the humor in the Indiana jones trailer, that pause as the guy slid off the boat was funny, it actually elicited laughter in my living room

The Xbox Showcase CLEARLY showed that Xbox isn't going anywhere. What an INCREDIBLE showing that finally showed what Xbox Game Studios have been working on these past 3-4 years.

FABLE HYPE!
Stella couldn’t get into the Gears of War campaigns, but she really enjoyed Gears 4 and 5 multiplayer. She enjoyed literally the worst aspects of the franchise and couldn’t get into literally the best aspects of the original trilogy.
She likes nothing, never played much xbox games

there was plenty of gameplay in SoD3. Whenever the camera switched to over the shoulder perspective that was 100% gameplay and the cinematics were 100% in game models and assets.
Right. You could see the targeting switch between different zombies. Now, to be fair, it's not the gameplay that makes SOD fun and an entire complete experience. But gameplay nonetheless.

Given how big IGN are, I've always thought they should have multiple reviewers on each game and then aggregate the results.
Yall need to do a tiny bit more research before these shows. Xbox held multiple podcasts, interviews, and other stuff that dove deeper into the games they showed throughout the week. For example, State of Decay 3 got a ton of new info like that Coalition is helping them with UE5 and that they’re using Obsidian’s Shared World tech from Grounded. Great improvements

I'm just mad we didn't get a release date for MGS 3 and Gears E-Day, but hey it was the best showcase in years. Also great to see Miranda back on the pod.
Pointless to give a release date if they're not confident they can meet the deadline.

State of Decay 3 had a post stating how the Coalition was helping with graphics and Obsidian to have players do a shared world like in grounded which will make this game even bigger.

You guy need to read, the start of the State of Decay 3 has "IN-GAME FOOTAGE AND CINEMATICS" that is not CGI FFS. They have just pulled the camera out to make it look a bit showier. They have thrown in some cinematics like the car driving at the start or the commemorating thing at the end.

Destin the trend for the animation style comes from the animated movie, Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse. The art and animation style inspired many. There are some behind the scenes that talk about how they used off frames to create certain animations for character movements. It really is a unique way to stand out from what we are used to seeing in most games / animated films.
Im surprised no one mentioned if there is going to be multiplayer in perfect dark considering how great the original was

24:23 - clearly states "in-game and cinematics" that means there was no official gameplay, just scripted scenes using their engine like every game with cinematics is capable of

It was a cinematic shot, made in game. It wasn't gameplay, it was as close to it as they could get, but not gameplay

Lets keep in mind that this is not the real game shown here Its a cinematic using in game assets whatever that actually means.
As somebody that plays war zone on console and pc, it is a lot easier to aim and shoot on PC with the mouse. Then in console with the controller. Miranda might be put into easier lobbies on console.
