Train : 12133 Mumbai CSMT - Mangluru Junction Superfast express ...popularly known as "Rocket of Konkan Railway" among the railfans.
It was one of fastest trains before covid to connect the two cities.
Lead by a Kalyan WDG3A Alco Locomotive.
Here I present you a full journey from Madgaon to Mangluru in this train behind a hardcore chugging Alco.

Which is fastest train from Mangalore to Mumbai LTT
During monsoon none. Otherwise Trivananthapuram Rajdhani between Mangalore and Kalyan. Next decent speed trains are ERS LTT durranto and Karmali Tejas, Shatabdi and Vandhe Bharat. In Superfast category, none are speed but very comfortable for low middle class people.
This train always gets delayed by 1 hour or more...This train and Matsyagandha are not fit to be called Superfast. KR is charging SF surcharge on these slow trains...
Before covid, this train was actually faster. Matsya is anyway slower
Please don't insult this single line running beau Rocket of Mandovi or Matsyagandha or Konkankanya because we have many donkeys in Chennai Mumbai doubled route clocking just 35 to 50 average speed with stopping in all stations from Guntakkal to Solapur. Actually this Rocket man is delayed after covid because intro of VB Mangalore to Madgaon and Madgaon to Mumbai. It is prevalent in all VB routes
