  • My favorite thing to do is detail old cars. Thats where you really see the Ultimate Transformation. This 1988 Mercedes 560SEC belongs to a friend of mine and needs heavy paint correction.
Every single thing that could happen to paint over the years, has happened. The black paint hurts to look at.

I know right! I would love me a 560 coupe. Sometimes I’ll see one for sub $5k and it’s gone in an hour. Then I’ll see some crackhead asking $30,000 for basically a total project lol. Glad you liked the video!

Very nice work to bring her back to her glory. I own a 1991 560SEC White, and 1989 560SEL Black, along with 2011 E350 Cabrio, 2009 E350 4m Sport, and 2014 C300 4m Sport. I only use Menzerna products with Flex and Rupes.

my car has a lot of paint imperfections, lots of swirls and like scratches, how much would a paint correction be on it? or the price for your highest level detail for just exterior?

No two details are the same and every client is different. There’s a lot of variables that a Professional needs to consider before giving you an accurate price. Not only that but where you live will determine a general starting price point.
Detail XY will cost $200 in FL.
Detail XY will cost $400 in IL.
Condition of the car is everything.
Long story short, anyone can give you a price over the phone with an accurate description but the reality is, the Detailer needs to see the car.
My Paint Correction Services start at $450 and go up from there. This will be different depending on where you live. $450 is just a tad over “the going rate” where I am and I feel like that’s perfectly justifiable considering the fact that I’m one of the top guys around here.
A wet sanding service might not be the best option for you. This Mercedes was wet sanded because it’s been repainted and there was a lot of Orange Peel and texture in the paint. While the goal was to remove the texture, the wet sanding process does remove scratches and swirls as well.
It was like killing 2 birds with one stone.
If you are in the Chicagoland Area, you are more than welcome to reach out and set up an estimate/inspection.
