- College Football's week 7 is finally here, and with it we could have upsets everywhere. On Josh Pate's College Football Show Ep 565 Josh Pate took a look at several games and gave an upset concern rating. Oklahoma vs Texas and Florida vs Tennessee feature two rivalry games with big spreads. Can South Carolina shock Alabama? Josh also discusses Cal vs Pitt in a strange ACC matchup plus Iowa State vs West Virginia. Not sure why Penn State wasn’t on this list. USC has struggled and Penn State has a massive advantage on both lines of scrimmage, but USC has plenty of talent to make it a competitive game at home.
Cause of the line of scrimmage, its a complete mismatch, penn st runs it very well and usc doesn't stop the run

You should be at a 9 for Florida upsetting Tennessee Josh. Tennessee's offensive line has played awful the last two games.

USC offensive line got even thinner this year with two starting guards returning. Monheim’s finally getting to play center leaving the tackle spots weak. USC’s big at tackle but, not mobile in pass protect. 6’7” redshirt freshmen Paige starting in Monheim's place at left tackle. Backups include a preferred walk-on and a converted d-lineman. Zandamela departure punctuating USC’s recruiting difficulties.
The result is the oft mentioned pressure one out of three times Miller drops back. If McCree can go at TE, it’ll be big boost for USC. 11, 12 personnel counter runs, nub eligible. Screens. Coss’rs finding spots with leverage in coverage. Tempo. Defense can’t pin its ears back without relying on zone coverage.
Lynn replaces the Grinch. New coaches on defense. Gentry needs to retire. Second leading tackler but they shouldn’t let him play. Left corner, Covington is coming back from injury. Defensive end, 6’5”, 275 lb. Lucas is also returning from injury. We should be ok if, we can pound the ball like Michigan and Minnesota. Not necessarily chew clock but keep Moss from settling in. Nightmare scenario being USC getting up early and putting it on Drew to win in a hostile stadium, forcing balls into coverage. Or not seeing the over/under help.
Special teams, Penn State’s not getting a lot of production on punt returns. We found a new kicker but his long is 45 in high school. 45 and beyond in the Coliseum, in a close game, could easily result in a miss. Set up Moss in good field position.

I hate Tennessee but they are going to destroy Florida. The Gators absolutely are going to lose all the wheels this week.
28 points with an offense who ranks 121st in the country against a defense ranked 3rd and only allowing 7 points a game? Yes it's a rivalry but there's no way that Oklahoma scores thirty on offense with that O-line and depleted receiver group. Hawkins isn't superman by himself.

Oklahoma can beat Texas. They have a QB that can score and get the job done, and thr OL is improving, and they have actually played competition, Oklahomas defense is the real deal and Texas HAS NOT seen a defense like this and Sarkisan knows it which is why he said "we have to be ready for what isnt on film." A front 7 like Oklahomas Texas hasnt seen yet.
Texas hasnt played anyone that's worth talking about outside of Michigan. When you play inferior competition, you get inflated stats, remember?
All the programs they have played are inferior to Texas, with no argument. Oklahoma isn't they have played 2 High powered offense in Tennessee (whom they really did shut down) and Auburn, which they have up some chunk plays. Texas also doesn't have a run game... despite what people refuse to acknowledge, they dont have Dline depth, or RB depth
They are a mirror image of us that people refuse to acknowledge because they havent played anyone that gives them a challenge in talent and coaching

What comp have they truly played? Cus they lost to Tennessee who lost to Arkansas. They struggled with Tulane, Houston and Auburn. Their defense is not that good, they given up so many yards. O line is still trash and they have no wide receivers or a running game. Their defense is like Michigan, overrated. Idk if you have been watching Texas or not but we do have a run game, not the strongest but it’s there. D line isn’t the same but best believe sark will have all these boys ready
Texas should win comfortably, BUT Josh nailed it. THIS IS THE BIGGEST RIVALRY game in the nation, and nothing should be taken for granted EXCEPT that it's 11:22 on Friday and OU still sucks!
