Rotosound Trubass 88 on Get Back, I've Got a Feeling, One after 909,...All of the Get back/Let it Be sessions really. I put them on my Hofner. Haven't changed them since. McCartney did change them, but what does he know... ;-)
They look cool as hell too.
thanks for doing this but why did you put reverb on the bass when we want to hear the natural sound of the strings?
Beacuse they think it sounds better.... 😂😂😂😂
Fuck yeah All Blues! I'm not a fan of Rotosound strings but after hearing "All Blues" now I'm buying these strings!!
Great tone and play
I love the way the strings sound, but I can’t tell if it’s those EMGs give them that tone or if it’s the reverb. I would love to hear them on a regular old passive P Bass.
I put the short scale version of these strings on my Ibanez Mikro bass and I run the split pickup in parallel and it gets very close to that Abbey Road/Let it be sound. Its my Beatle bass on a budget.
Tape Wounds are my favorite.
Ah cool, so Roto 88s get you that fat reverb sound? Awesome!
"Perfect for REGGEA" ❤❤ im gettin it
I'd like to hear those on a Gibson Eb0
whats with the reverb?
The softest sounding strings on the market. I use these on a fretless p-type bass and the reason is because of the upright -like sound so it's interesting to find out that that's what James How was aiming at.
Are lovely on my old Mustang
Grrrrrrr. Lucky fucker!! ;)
is that a Tony Franklin Signature P-Bass?
it is the same configuration as them......
The only string's I will use!!!
+Joe Giusti (Dr Deuce 357) Gee Never mind Mo Foster, If you use them it's good enough for us.
if only the people who get to be testing all the gear here on YT could actually get the job done. hey rotosound, why don't you just hire me?
is that a Miles Davis song he's playing?
Sounds like All Blues.
what about tension? how neck reacts?
It's a 45-105 set of roundwounds under the nylon wrap, so low to medium tension.
Like putting an elastic band on your bass. Nae fucking danger! ;)
If anyone's still following this, they're actually 65 - 115. They say they're low tension, I haven't tried them yet.
@@TheBill316 *nylon included
Imagine this sound with palm muting!
Imagined......
bruh if you're gonna go for a warm sound you have to play closer to the neck...
The sound of mud, not my thing.
These are pointless on an electric bass..Seriously. They are not good for reggae either..uhhh.
Love your ugly gold scratch plate :) Was thinking about to mod my neon yellow bass for maximum repellent.
