That is freaking awesome. Much respect. You think I could pick your brain a little bit? I am looking to do the same thing w an f350 for small pruning jobs. Any more pics of the truck? Any other tips? Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you
Beautiful. I have a flat bed I built a box on. This has been my idea but couldn’t think of a good way to set it up. Possibly welding a giant rod to put the load handler on.
Have you heard about ODTS, Organic dust toxic syndrome? Something to consider when moving piles of woodchip. Breathing in mold spores etc. Can make you quite Ill from what I understand. Something to look at.
You got my attention.....i wonder if that's what I got from a tree took down in July....had a really bad cough for a bout 3 months. For a minute i thought I had some crazy covid crap. I'm going to do more research on this now.
@ninefivezero How is this holding up / how long have you used it? Would you suggest it for a low grossing solo climber about to buy their first chipper??? It looks amazing for my budget and goals. I rent chipper and chip on site for most of my projects but would like to do more city work. Thanks for sharing!
I've had it on my truck for about 3 years at this point and it has held up well. Some of the hardware it comes with are junk and I upgraded those to ratchet straps. I usually shoot piles so I only chip into the truck a few times a month at most. It's certainly no dump truck, but it works very well for what it is and is a good starting place I'd say.
I know this video is a few years old but I will try anyways. Whats your opinion on this working well for split firewood? Im guessing its going to get caught on the wheel wells & the tarp will pull out from it without completely unloading. I could make inner sides to keep the wood within the wheel wells & then extend the sides a foot or two to make up the lost space. 04 Silverado 2500hd with 2 extra springs so im not worried about the sag. Thanks for your help on your opinion & tips.
Any idea how to get in contact with loadhandler company? I tried calling/emailing and get no response. My order had a missing part and Im literally out $500
I'll tell you what man I'm looking back at old videoeos I liked and I did this when I first started I got 2 chip trucks now this is how it gets done !

I have a tree service in California and am totally going to do this for those hard to get to dump spots!!!
That’s clever! Just had the exact same idea. Went to RUclips and found this. Brilliant!
Brilliant man!

Looks like it works good.

Would absolutely love and appreciate a deeper look at your truck box. Do you have the plans available ?
Please do a build video for this set up
Killer set up very well thought out
Been looking at load handlers myself for this exact purpose. Wondered how it would handle woodchip.
That was impressive that was at least 1 ton
Great job💪🏼💪🏼 smart working
Man this is awesome!! Would love to see the chip box closer did you make storage on the sides?
This is cool
Great work...keep it up
Better than shoveling the load off.

Would like to make one of these 6 x 14ft able to withstand 5,000 lbs. What would you suggest?
Neato!
Curious to know how you would mount this onto a flatbed? Thanks.
