Just looked at the Tricia Leach website to RSVP for the book and noticed this statement "Every step, from design to printing, was done in the United States". Thank you for making this a priority. It matters to many of us.

Yeeeaaaaaasss! 💃 Can we please have a RUclips Channel dedicated to her cooking these amazing recipes she's adding in this cookbook? I gave up on cooking when my kids left home, but now finding inspiration again to keep calories and preservatives low and fresh flavors while out camping and exploring. 💕

I have just got to say my wife HATES cooking, I actually do all of our cooking out of necessity and happy wife happy life right? When we recently bought our first RV she started to feel somewhat helpless as I was doing EVERYTHING except for cleaning (all the driving, tire checks, sewer, setup, towing etc and on top of that all the cooking). We started watching your channel and she is just in love with your cooking style how fresh and colorful and easy you make things. Tomorrow we are leaving for a trip to North Carolina mountains and I come in from prepping the rig to her making your pasta salad and Waldorf salad!!!! She was Soooo excited to have me try it and had the biggest grin on her face at how proud she was. I’m thinking we might have something here, HOW COOL IS THAT?!?

In a lot of instances when making sour cream based dips or dressings I have started using plain Greek yogurt instead. Thin with a little olive oil and mix in my food processor. Bumps up your protein and cuts some calories.

Tricia, you have totally inspired me to create my own cookbook! Our family has been camping for years and we do so many of the time-saving tricks that you do!! Prepare "the hard stuff" at home then, you just need to put it together at mealtime. When you have a large family and everyone wants to do different things at different times, you can easily and with much less stress prepare things fresh and without too much effort. Everyone wants to have a good time, even Mom's! Hahaha!

Regarding the RV fridge: Because most RV fridges don't have forced air circulation, a very great help I've found is to purchase two small USB rechargeable fans. I place one in the fridge (while the other charges) and it helps SIGNIFICANTLY in the cooling and circulation of air, reduces ice build up on the fins and cools things down more quickly, especially when they are further from the cooling fins.
Can't wait for the cookbook Trish! Thanks so much to both of you for all you do-- You've helped make our family camping trips so fun :D

We just discovered your channel and are having so much fun traveling virtually with your family! We had a camper trailer a few years ago, but sold it when the Army decided to relocate us to Hawaii (not as fun as it sounds!) but we are moving back to the mainland later this summer and can’t wait to find another camper/RV option for our family. Like you, we’ll be traveling with pets, 1 kiddo, and LOVE food, so we enjoy everything y’all are doing. Our time in the Army will come to a close in a few years and the plan is to go full time for at least a year after he retires. My parents are in the process of selling their home in preparation to RV full time right now, so I’ve got them plugged into your channel as well. Thanks for all the fun stuff y’all are doing to keep us inspired! -The Hills

Great ideas!! I typically camp as a weekend warrior and so I premake as much as possible, chili (frozen to help keep the cooler cold), beef stew, premade biscuits and corn muffins, premade breakfast burritos for a quick breakfast everyone can heat up whenever they get up. Other things my kids love are cashew chicken, premade fajita fixings, easy to heat up, etc. Basically, I cook as much as possible at home when camping with my kids. Makes for a much more enjoyable trip. On a grown up trip I have been learning to add some dutch oven and campfire cooking to our trips and I'm loving it!!!

My fridge/freezer tip is to place the usable freezer packs in your freezer when you are hooked up at a campground. When you head out to your next destination, then place them in the fridge door and leave one in the freezer and turn off your fridge while driving. Like having a built in cooler while on the road.

17:10 Whether doing our own grocery shopping or using curbside pickup, I love to take the fifth wheel to the grocery store when provisioning for a trip. This minimizes handling and as often a good time to reduce packaging or to repack and store items to match how, when and where we're using them.
I find it very helpful to plan menus and build the grocery list from them. But I also keep regularly used items in the pantry because circumstances can change and it's nice to be able to freestyle if you need to. At home I'm more of a "what can I make out of what I have" kind of guy, but when I'm actually camping it's great to be more organized. Having at least a few meals prepped in advance is a big help if you're arriving tired or even just have full days planned.

Enjoying this video. Hubby and I took a five week trip recently. I pre-smoked some tri tip, ribs. Made some different soups and chilis. Put the items into freezer bags and pre-froze everything. Was great to be able to grab a bag from the freezer in the morning and set out to defrost during the day. So easy after a long day of driving, sightseeing, hiking and just heat up and eat a quick meal. Add some salad or other items for sides.

Trish - I have to share that I had BIG plans for making 3 dishes before we hit the road. It was our first RV trip… my plan was to make a pound cake which we could eat off of for a few days, make the pasta salad and chicken salad.
    Pound cake ✅
Pasta Salad - did not get made ahead of time - however took everything with me and made it 3 days in as a side dish for family of 7. BIG HIT!!! Love it!!! Will do again!!!
Chicken Salad - did not get made before or during. But I will make it now that we are home 😂
I think we were so overwhelmed with renting the RV and get it loaded up, time for away from me. Now that we have gotten an inaugural RV trip under our belts, we know we want to buy. So now the planning begins! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you all the last year as I started to begin this journey. Thank you!!!

Great tips! We did almost 3 months of camp cooking and fell into a routine of hitting the nearest grocery on the way to the campsite. Made some marvelous meals. I think we ate at a restaurant 5 times over that span. Having a small trailer, our bathtub stored potatoes and onions. Keeping plenty of pasta and rice formed the base of lots of different meats and veggies and sauces that went on top and never got boring.

So happy you’re ok. We once came upon a black cloud across the highway that looked like smoke from a fire, by the time we got to it, something hit our windshield that sounded like gun shots. The rain was so bad we tried to pull over but couldn’t even see the soft shoulder. By the time we got to a little town to stop we saw big white balls the size of tennis balls that were actually hail. Our RV was a little dented but we were safe and had a great weekend camping.

Quick tip...if you are prepping everything at home, you can shred your chicken using a mixer. It's much faster and easier than using forks. I use my KitchenAid stand mixer but I'm sure any mixer would work.

Good job on making people think how to create things they know, but fresh and healthy. You don’t have to be RVing to enjoy.. Santa Ana winds. Ha, don’t miss those.

Loved the video and the temporary change-up! Salads made ahead of a trip has become part of our trip planning and it works so well. I'm so hungry! I look forward to your cookbook.

Can't wait for the cookbook!! When I got my email after RSVPing it brought up the recipe but it didn't download it. I could see it but when I printed it, it was tiny print. My husband and I watch your video's all the time and have learned so much from you. We've only had our TT for about 9 months but we are enjoying!!

The file was so big, it was hard to download, so I made it a bit smaller. Maybe too small!
