Just google if you need anything, don't trust people blindly(not everyone like that). Use Uber & Ola(cabs or auto), Redbus or Abhibus(for buses), IRCTC (for trains). Don't pay more than 200 rupees to any Rikshaw in any city. Anywhere within the city you can travel with 200rupee, for bigger cities like Mumbai, Delhi always use metro or take rikshaw or cabs. For confirmation you can always double check cost of distance in Uber. Just keep this in mind and you will be fine. And don't forget enjoy your stay.
Thank you so much for all of this! We have come across some really nice and genuine people on our travels. But we will be more mindful for sure. Buying train tickets for foreigners is difficult in India. You hv to visit the rail office. There is a quota for foreigners. I hv seen other vlogs. That is india, chaotic.
@@EoinandAisling The best time to visit India is between October to March. In the summers, it's better to avoid the plains be it in the Northern or Southern parts of India. I would suggest you visit the mountainous states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, etc. Some of these states have hostels and home-stays too.
Hey guys.. the train tickets in India are always full. So you have to book the tickets way more in advance. You can't just go to the train station at the time of train's departure and expect to get a ticket. There is another option where you can book the ticket in "Tatkal". The "Tatkal" booking opens one day prior at 10 AM and you can use this service if you have failed to book the train ticket in advance. Also you guys can book Volvo sleeper bus tickets to travel anywhere in India and you don't need to book them in advance as they are readily available anytime. However you guys should always prefer the trains as they are the best mode of transportation in India.
Thank you so much! As we only arrived in India and didn’t know what time we would arrive at the train station we were happy to just show up this time but since we have been here for a while we are alot more organised thankfully haha the buses are good but we much rather the trains
