They are both "Epic" by death metal standards and the world of death metal would not be the same without Vital Remains. True death metal legends. But what pisses me off is: their new lineup. The only true and original member left is Tony Lazaro. We must change this, unite and make a stand for their real old school death metal lineup to get back together.

Bought this DVD at the merch table during Summer Slaughter 2010 with Decapitated headlining. It’s a shame they were the first band to perform, but this is definitely one of my favorite live performances to date!
This guy doesn't sound nearly as good as Benton, but I would kill to see this live even with him. This is the setup/audience that Benton deserved to have in front of him while he was still with them. His vocals stacked perfectly with Dave's.
My dad was in a white metal band in Tampa bay, in the 80s and early 90s called Arsenal. Being in a band you have to find a place to practice where no one will complain about noise, so you get storage or garage space ,that attracts bands know matter what genre you are. So it happened that morbid angel and sabotage and a lot of other death metal band would practice at this storage place in Tampa . My mom would be working so I would go to practice with my dad and while they would practice I would be walking around the storage spaces watching bands like morbid angel practicing, I was like 11 at the time so all this stuff kinda blew my mind . But thinking back and now seeing the death metal craze, I feel pretty lucky to have experienced it. Any questions please ask.

@@665demondog naw I wouldn't agree with that at all. I love both bands, but imo Nergal kills this guy on vocals with better pitch, range, consistency and stage presence. Haven't got the privilege of seeing vital remains live yet, but I can say behemoth is fucking amazing live. Plus with an always changing line up it's hard to really even compare vital remains to other bands, their not really even a band, more of a evil epic everchanging entity.

Tony used to borrow my drummers old rehearsal space for vital to practice in Worcester, MA a while back. Tony is not easy to work for by any means but that's why him and they (vital remains) are so good. He runs his band like a military style boot camp which in return makes whatever musicians he hires perfect by the time they are out touring. Forever Underground! 🤘

Yes he recorded drums for Dechristianize and Icons of Evil. There's a video on youtube of Dave recording the drums for "Hammer Down the Nails".
Dave Suzuki also wrote drums to this, and played them in studio on the album if I remember correctly.
