I like how everyone is talking about how Pluto is a planet and not the fact that he just lore dumped our entire existence as a super intelligent in the making and the universe being our egg
I like how you occasionally add things like "we couldn't outrun the speed of light, not even with good running shoes" lmao it's really keeping me on my toes and makes me burst out laughing when I least expect it
I have been geeking out on astronomy since the mid-90s. I've always been particularly facinated by The Great Attractor. As expected, it is most likely to be due to something pretty mundane. Not a hypermassive black hole but simply a very large galactic supercluster or several large supercluster. A hypermassive black hole could never have enough mass to pull the lanakea supercluster towards it. I think our surrounding superclusters are also being dragged towards it but not sure at what point the Great Attracted ceases to influence the movement of superclusters. I just found your channel today. Watched the apocolypse one first. Hope you do some more astronomy/cosmology videos in the future. Difficult to find new channels due to the sheer number of AI generated science channels cluttering the algorithym
It's super fascinating! This kind of video format is new to me but it's amazing to listen to, thank you. Space really is terrifiyingly beautiful to think about
This is by far my favorite video of yours. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all of your videos but this one was not only informative, but had me giggling most of the way through it. Totally entertaining! How has your channel not blown up (in a good way, not like a dying star witg joint problems... 😉🤣)? Thanks for the great video!
@@connors-curiosities Not at all! I followed right along! You do an amazing job in all of your videos to explain things in a very understandable and intelligent way without dumbing it down to the point of being unwatchable. I'm a fairly intelligent person and it drives me crazy to listen to over-explaining and/or being talked to like a 4 year old. You strike the perfect chord in your explanations. And the fact that you incorporate such appropriate and well-timed humour is the cherry on top!
Truly interesting I loved watching this video, it's the only explanation of space I have actually understood, you explained it so well and humourously too 😊
About the milky way - in my culture its called the merchant's way, because merchants, who have delivered salt from the sea have navigated by looking at the Чумацький Шлях (Chumatsky Shlah, or - the merchants way)

So much info for a Monday 🤓. Trying to calculate numbers and listening to you today I feel my brain throbbing 😫 At least you throw in your comedic side 😂
Pluto is and will always be my favorite planet! It’s super cute, aaannnnd it possibly has a subsurface ocean! Not only that but all of the necessary molecules for life are scattered on its surface, sooooo the could possibly be life in plutos subsurface ocean! ❤️
FUN FACT: jupiter was actually titel as having the most moons in the solar system till nasa discoverd 93 moons around saturn (i actually don't know if this is correct if is 39 or something)
It’s even funnier when they agree that other planets are round “because we’ve been able to observe them”. That alone should show that earth being round is the logical conclusion. Why would only earth be flat? (Not to mention that there is at least one well known experiment made by flat earthers that was meant to prove its flat but did the exact opposite. And they still refuse to accept it.)
IF YOU ARE READING THIS, you have found one of the best content creators on RUclips. CRIMINALLY UNDERSUBBED. Connor, truly impressive bro. I am a pretty big Wendigoon fan, but his golden days are over (my opinion, folks) I always love finding a undersubbed, truly remarkable and intelligent channel that goes into depth and detail 100/100 my bro 💯
Love the video so far, thanks. Imagine the size of the sun.. it converts 600,000,000 tons (1,200,000,000,000lbs) every single second into 595,000,000tons of helium with 5,000,000 tons being the light and various energy it emits into the solar system. EVERY SECOND! I thought that number was 6mil and had to check when you said 600mil (my apologies!) My mind was boggled at 6mil.. holy crap we really have a hard time grasping it's size. Add to that our sun is barely average.. meaning half the stars in the sky are bigger
Concerning the Oort Cloud: why isn’t it visible? Shouldn’t the asteroids reflect the suns light? And if light can’t reach them or whatever, why does the suns gravity still hold them in orbit at that massive distance? I’m just curious
It's a super cool topic! The stuff in the oort cloud is so sparse and tiny that it doesn't reflect enough of the sun's light back to us. It ALSO is overpowered by the light from OTHER stars from outer space, like trying to watch tv with sun coming in from the window. The light blinds you so you can't see the TV. Hopefully that makes sense ^^
RUclips physicist here.. could dark matter and energy be what happened to all the matter & antimatter that encountered one another at the time of and after the big bang? Or is it what the big bang exploded in to.. like stirring cream into coffee. Where st the instant it gets dropped into the mug starts swirling around into fully mixed. Ok, I'm probably way off.. but that's what you get from only learning from others videos. Love yours, by the way. Not a simple explanation nor too highly scientific where only physicists would understand. Thanks!
As long as you condense it down! Jupiter has more than twice the mass of every other planet combined, due to its more dense core. That's why Saturn is only slightly smaller BUT has roughly 1/3 the mass of Jupiter ^^
I'm going to be honest I cannot tell when someone is kidding unless told, so I would've never known about the moon thing if I already didn't know that was a lie. That being said I can't tell if you lie about anything else that sounds about something I don't know. I watch these as educational fun bits so it really ruins that experience for me.

I’m so happy Someone finally made a space iceberg again
Again?!
Pluto wasn’t demoted because it was little, it was demoted because there is a half a dozen other “planets” in its orbit path
I mean, being so small is the reason why Pluto can’t clear its orbit
