Thanks! And very impressive review. You'd be surprised how much you can get into just a few seconds. I get practice on this with a Minecraft gaming channel I have where I do 30 second videos. You need to be precise and focused to get everything in just 30 seconds.
@@HTGGeorge I had purchased the minitoolmaker but it seems it needs more functions like a bit of motion graphics, moving one element from end to another and crossfade, it's bit of novice video editor. But yes It does most of the work although I have Filmora Pro with me it hangs a lot hence i bought this one and had used its free version and it really gets the job done for small projects. @@SatinderSatsangi Mini Tool Moviemaker is as you say a great little editor for smaller projects which makes it very good for YouTub videos. For more advanced stuff you will need a more professional video editing program.
Simply go to the Pictures folder and drag a picture onto the timeline, then drag in your next video segment. Pictures are added exactly the same way as video elements.
Sure, you can adjust the volume and also add a fade in or fade out to a music track. If youi want to have the music lower for part of a video move the playhead to the point you want it to have a lower level and hit the cut icon on the play line, then move to where you want the volume to be louder again and cilp the music track at that point. This gives you 3 music clips on the same music track. Now all you have to do is to lower the volume on the middle track.

Choose a template, then click Next below the template, then select one or more movie clips from your computer. The template will then open with those clips. These templates are just a framework to put video clips into. This isn't a form of AI where it will build your video for you. Some other programs can do that to some extent but not MiniTool.
Minitool Movie Maker doesn't have a record function, so you can't record a voice over using Movie Maker. Another good free video editing program that does allow recording of audio is VideoProc Vlogger, I have a video about that program here ruclips.net/video/IfAkcRHMkcg/видео.html

I only recommend using music from the RUclips music library on RUclips, or purchase the music from a stock music library. I would not trust any other source. RUclips loves to demonetize videos because of music. No, you can't do picture in picture with this app. If you want to get fancy you should get a paid app. The least expensive but good video app is Premiere Elements, runs about $100. Davinci has a free version but it is very limited.

@@e.o.a101 Take a look at this video editor instead, it is free and is actually very feature rich, it is the VideoProc Vlogger. Here is one of my videos about that ruclips.net/video/IfAkcRHMkcg/видео.html. Of all the free video editors I have reviewed it is the best. It easily does picture in picture, green screen, animations, has a great sound editor built in and more. Really a good program. If I had to use a free program this is the one I would choose. Don't use the RUclips editor, unless you like banging your head on the wall, worst editor on the market. It is only good for one thing and that is to remove a section of a RUclips video that is already live and that has enough views that you don't want to just delete the video and put up a cleaned up version. RUclips has a music library that is free and safe to use on RUclips called the RUclips Audio Library, you may have to do a search for that as it is a bit hidden at the moment. They also have a new service called RUclips Music where you can license music for use in your RUclips videos but it is a bit of a scam and would basically wipe out your ad revenue, so I don't recommend that.
You can put individual music clips under your different video clips, but since you can't do transition effects on music I would recommend a different editor like the free VideoProc

I just faded the music out before the transition started. I absolutely love Windows Movie Maker, but I'm having a problem (no sound) with it now and am looking for a new editor to replace it.
@@MNM14ful Out of all the free video editors I like VideoProc the best. I could run my channel with VideoProc without too much trouble. It runs more like a paid program than a free program. But... paid programs are always the best option, if this is anything other than a hobby for you then you really should get a paid program. I personally use Camtasia.

Sure, click on the Media button, then Import Media Files. You can import any media this way, gif stickers, animated gifs, mp4 files, image files, etc. If you import an animated gif it will not loop, so you would either need to create a longer gif, or put it on the timeline several times to get a looping effect.
Hi George, appreciate the video. I'm using on Windows and I love it except I can't see the bottom of the screen. I can see the video track, and just the top half of the audio track. I've added text to a video, I'm assuming the text track is below the audio track because I can't see it, or edit it. Now I've added text and I can't remove it. Any ideas
I actually prefer VideoProc Vlogger in the free editor category. But if you really want to do video editing you should get a paid program. Right now I am using Camtasia Studio but I am testing DaVinci.
Hi Dorothy, since Premiere Elements is a paid program and MovieMaker is free there really isn't any comparision. If you can afford a paid program then don't even think about the free ones.

I have an old copy of PSE 13 but it lacks some features so I was looking at PSE 2023. I'm torn as 79.00 every year for an upgrade seems rich vs 9.99/mo for PS. I currently use Camtasia Studio but I am not that happy with the recent updates, they are trying to make it more consumer friendly and it ends up being less capable. I have used Premiere Pro in the past but never liked it, just like Photoshop I found it top heavy and slow. I have heard good things about DaVinci but I haven't tried it myself. I could do fine with Photoshop Elements if I was limited to that, it isn't as powerful as more expensive programs but it is a lot better than the free ones.

@@e.o.a101 It sounds like you have something on a track above the video that is blocking the view of the video, or you have the video track hidden. If the track is hidden you will still see it in the editor but it will not display.

This editor is a lot of fun, and free, but there are now better alternatives, for instance the VideoProc Vlogger program is a very capable video editor and is also free.

@@cootmaster What you want to do is to convert the gif to mp4, change your speed, then save back to gif. I don't know of any program that will change speed of a gif directly.

@@cootmaster Never tried any of those programs, so can't comment on that. Not sure why you want to save as the same file, you should save to a new file, that keeps the original safe, just in case. MiniTool can import and export gif animation files, but it can't change the speed of gif files.

george when using vlogger how do i stop that stupid bell w the info from opening, EVERYTIME i do a project it opens and gets in the way
No way to stop that, it is one of the small prices you pay for using free software.

Could you explain how to use the templates? Nothing seems to happen when I click on a template.

You can add music to a video track, but this isn't a sound editing app so you can't work with just music. A great free sound editing app is Audacity.

You can add graphics from the included clip art set, but you can't add your own images.

Not with MovieMaker. Any of the paid video editors can do stuff like that.
