I hope it's good, but I am absolutely not optimistic after the flops that were hyper and ultra. But good grief, the sprinter looks like an Amazon bootleg.

I’ll say one thing Nerf does well is that the plastic shell of their blasters is much sturdier than Dart Zone. Which is why modding them is so worthwhile.

When i heard this was gonna REPLACE the standard 50 cal dart, i just laughed. Hasbro can TRY to change the industry, but seeing as they arent the big force they used to be, i see that ammo type floundering until they are forced to switch back
As a member of the Bullpup Brigade, I will be getting the Sprinter when it hits the shelves. I have hopes for it mainly because it uses 6 AA batteries. I like the paint job on your half dart Amp, that looks sweet.

Plenty of Ultra stuff is dirt cheap at an Ollie's, especially the Ultra Speed, which is 10 bucks as of now.

Yet, with the wisdom of hindsight AND the hilarious advantage of being both a modder and the father of a daughter that was little back when Ultra was launched, I can tell you why Ultra actually failed: Hasbro doesn't care about modders, but the casuals (which overwhelmingly are little kids), shockingly, DO: she watched a lot of _actually popular_ YT nerf channels, all of whom explained all that was wrong about Ultra or Elite 2.0, and she (AND her friends) *wouldn't shut up about that.* Toy stores on my area were complaining of _unsold_ such blasters while other lines and brands sold as usual, because kids told their parents they wanted them not. Which... shouldn't have been unexpected in this century.

I honestly don't think Hasbro will be able to continue operating in their "businesses as usual" anti-consumer way. RUclips being as popular as it is now, with great channels like yours and even other bigger ones dedicated to pumping out blaster tag content, is ultimately what will be driving this change. As channels like yours grow, being recommended to more and more viewers, it leads to a widely more-educated consumer base for these products. Even a 9 year old can search and find a video review of a blaster they may be looking to acquire. With videos like yours out there to show them just what they're getting (or rather, not getting) from the likes of Hasbro, and what else is available out on the market.
Hey there, awesome video! Honestly, I don’t really care about what NERF is coming out with, unless it’s a mega blaster, a rival blaster, or a very powerful Gelblaster. I say that, because the elite 2.0, blasters were not my favorite at all. I really like the hard performing blasters. I collect the old and strike blasters, just because I really like the older type of blasters. I’m talking about the ones before the elite blasters. I have quite a few elite blasters, but I’m honestly thinking about selling them. What about you? Do you have a lot of the old and strike blasters? what was your favorite and strike Blaster? Pump action flywheel... RevReaper. Kinda fun in a motor scooter kind of way.
Here's the issue: it's effectively dart DRM. They're launching another proprietary ammo that no one else is using. Other manufacturers use Rival, full length, and half length darts. No other manufacturers use Ultra, so Ultra died. Same with Vortex and Hyper. If they want to launch another ammo that no one else will support, they can have fun with that. We'll just be here doing amazing things with other brands.
I have a lot of off-brand Vortex ammo, the reason Vortex died was not that. But good analysis besides that caveat.
@@notfeedynotlazy Interesting. I didn't know companies other than Nerf made Vortex blasters. Vortex is my brother's favorite platform. I have a few of them, but it's just not for me. Rival is my favorite.

Nerf is dead IMO. When I first got into the hobby I was buying whatever nerf stuff I could. Once Dart Zone upped their game it was over for nerf when it comes to high performance blasters.
Has the word "strike" gotten canceled for some reason? N-strike series is now N series, Zombie Strike series is now Zombie series. Why have Nerf deleted "strike?"

I mean, how much longer will we be able to hold Nerf in the contention for serious usable blasters? Xuru and Dart Zone (with some hiccups by the latter) have become solid blips on everyone's radar, BuzzBee just made *huge* strides in getting their stuff on Amazon for distribution, even if it's only a few things right now, and their stuff has always proven to be for the younger demographic as well as the older, so how much longer can hasbro maintain relevancy except for being "once great" I wonder.
We don't expect nerf excellence. We have to meet them halfway and make it excellent. If you want a polished internals product, stay away from nerf.
I still remember how hype I was when they released n strike elite with higher fps and rival. It looked like they were slowly acknowledging the community.

the plasttic thing means, the same density of the plastic, but less of it, so you can have stuff lik the rival mirage, where the grip has a huge hole for no reason.
this can be good if they know what are hey doing.
For me, The N Series is going to be a wait and see. It's obvious that Hasbro isn't really focused on Nerf competing with other brands now and just going for the general. So I don't have any hopes or excitement for it other than maybe some interesting gimmicks.

These will sell for a month and then go clearance and be gone. That’s a lot of money spent for limited sales but whatever. Dart zone’s been killin it!
That grip looks so small, and nerf will drop an ammo type as fast as they can. So probably not much to worry about

If the flywheel blaster's shell is any good I'll probably get one and see if there is any way to make it half-dart talon mag compatible and better performance.

I do wonder, with the past years of new ammo types, it there some sort of upcoming shortage or price increase coming for the normal foam that hasbro is trying to get ahead of. We know hasbro has changed materials for things like action figures. Off topic but I think nerf people could gain a lot from listening to action figure channels too( I know that some of us do)

Honestly i feel like there should be a consensus on the side of hasbro in making actually good blasters without gimmick darts because even the most casual wil take nowadays the time for reviews and if they hear the darts you get are only for that blaster then that would make the blaster as a whole useless and force the casual nerfer to bring it back to the store thus undoing the sale of said blaster for one that's actually compatible with the darts/balls/ect that are the norm... by making blasters to sell gimmicks then it wil cause hasbro damage knowing sales haven't been extremely well for then across the board because they want it done cheaper not better wich is where the problem lies

Yup, probably will not buy any of these blasters new. If I see on thrifting, I might pick it up and get a box of darts from Walmart, just to play with it before I likely give it to my kids. Because just from the design, I don’t think I’ll like this line very much.
Like you, I like Ultra, though the Strike is my favorite that I own, and I like Hyper and Vortex, so I’m not opposed to the new ammo type, and I totally agree that Hasbro is certainly not targeting the hobbyist market. Kinda sad, but kids have always been their cash cow, and Dart Zone seems to be the big boy in the pro/hobbyist market. Along with 3D printed blasters and specialty companies like the one that makes the Seagull.

@notnuffnerf I see most of your points, but Nerf did send the stryfe X to Captain Xavier and Out of Darts.
They are a toy manufacturer, catering mostly to children and parents, but they do seem to have recruited from and listened to the comunity when developing the stryfe x and nerfball.
Maybe they kind of killed it off internaly as no more news on nerfball came out, that I know of.
Pretty sure that's why he said "a lot of which" amd not "all of them". Of course they want all kinds of money, but I agree with NN in the sense that they sent a bunch of these to people that are not even nerf blaster review channels, some of which didn't even have 500 followers. I remember my husband pointing out how many random TikTokers were reviewing this blaster. Didn't make sense, so I know where this guy is coming from.
