New rule for next year. For every inch under 6” player gets to subtract one stroke on their card at end of round. This is a handicap to make up for the unfair advantage of giant wingspans.

This right here is why I love Maple Hill! It's always an exciting event all the way to the finish, because the course does not allow anyone to get that far ahead. Since the inception of the event we've got 3 total wins by more than 5 strokes; Avery Jenkins in 2008 by 7 strokes, Barry Schultz in 2009 also 7 strokes and Paul McBeth in 2013 with a 13 stroke win. Also very interesting how Maple Hill seems to favor the well-seasoned players more. Other than round 1 feature card all of the players on coverage have been in the mix at or near the top since 2018 or earlier. Calvin is the "newest" player of these having his first time on coverage at this very event in 2018.
I have a feeling that Matty O’s shots might be a little better if the very end of his follow through isn’t hindered by his poor attempts to balance the sunglasses on top of his head or subconsciously prepare to catch em when they fly off. He either needs to hang them around the neck with a frat strap, like Jerm suggested, or just put em away when he’s teeing off. Of course, no one wants to hear it… Surely, a handful of you have the same opinion and another handful will say the opposite. However, the sunglasses going flying and him subconsciously trying to balance them on his head or catch em when they fly off definitely _isn’t helping,_ whether or not it’s _actually hurting_ his stroke. It is simply just another unnecessary random variable added to his shot’s follow through that throws off the muscle memory aspect of repetitiveness.
you're absolutely right. there are plenty of options. i agree with the commentators; get him a sponsorship deal with sunglass hut or luxoticca. then he'll have an incentive to change. i know; why don't i just live his life for him? not throwing shade(s), just giving my damned ocd an outlet. right? it's totally ocd for those who can't stand it. it's not HIM, it's US!!!
Can you guys start doing the slo mo on the bad shanks and drives? It would help amateurs see what the occasional bad form or timing looks like? Also a pro break down on what happened would be fun and helpful

it's a phrase made popular by tiger woods. saturday was moving day and sunday was red shirt. i don't know if he coined the phrase, but it was certainly made popular by him. the point he made was that was the day to challenge himself to take the lead because he (almost) always led better from the front. anyway, it's not about stats, it's about motivation.
Pro tournaments should be this hard. Enough with the -15 rounds. The talent is too good now. This is very refreshing. Maple Hill is IMO the best course on tour.

i still enjoy watching the jomez coverage after the fact, but the live experience is better in my opinion. commentary reacting to the shots in the moment goes a long way. however, the graphics and the camera work is better on jomez. need to combine powers...
I've got a hypothetical for you guys! I'd love for @bigjermdg and Uli to weigh in on this too (Nate too, if you're reading). You're throwing off the tee on hole 16 at Maple Hill. You're disc settles near the OB line (landing in bounds) but lands right on top of a slow moving turtle, which walks just over the OB line, carrying your disc on its back, out of bounds. How do you play it? Is the turtle considered casual?
Just swinging in to say presenting a "live" score on a recorded video is dumb. Just show us what's going on hole by hole, it means nothing that someone is in the top 4 when they're on 17 and lead is on 9.
This round makes you realize the problem with James. The good rounds are on other cards, these guys are probably irrelevant for the rest of the tournament and we don't get to see the big movers and shakers for the day. Still love Jomez though.
