    Let's face it. The demo versions of Aint No Big Deal and Everybody are FAR superior to the actual released versions of the songs. This documentary was fun. Thanks for sharing.

    Her voice sounds good here. She can sing. I hated when people said she couldn't.

    I think Bray's contribution to Madonna's earlier work has not been touted. Many of her beloved songs were probably shaped largely by Bray. Her earlier songs are, to me, her best.

    It does fail to mention she went with her instinct and they both made it. I do wish hw would Talk more about there song writing as pat Leonard and others have come forward in her defense of her skills

    • @calisongbird
      @calisongbird Год назад +1

      “Two-tone” scene. From Wikipedia:
      “Two-tone or 2 tone is a genre of British popular music of the late 1970s and early 1980s that fused traditional Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae music with elements of punk rock and new wave music.[1] Its name derives from 2 Tone Records, a record label founded in 1979 by Jerry Dammers of the Specials,[2] and references a desire to transcend and defuse racial tensions in Thatcher-era Britain: many two-tone groups, such as the Specials, the Selecter and the Beat, featured a mix of black, white, and multiracial people.”
