great review. Thanks for putting this together. My MPX will be here in April and DDU5 and 10 are on the way. Great company with even better customer service.
Absolutely agree with your view on a dash in the wheel, I run motion and would struggle to take in all the info when everything is moving, but they do look great mounted on people's rigs.
Hey Laurence, I see you are also Simagic there, and have the FX Pro. Couple questions - You just need a 70mm Simagic QR for the MPX I guess to attach to a Alpha Mini/Alpha base? How does it compare to the FX Pro? I have the FX Pro and while it has all the features... the dash is crap and the grips are a bit narrow and not really comfortable.
It's a huge step above the FX Pro. both the dash and the wheel rim itself. The biggest drawback is that you have to run wires and the MPX needs to be plugged in to power too. But it's a far superior wheel. The FX PRO's 7 way hat is in a terrible place. the grips are ok but not great. The screens/dashes are nowhere near as nice as simhub. And yes, a normal Simagic QR will fit just fine.
@@LaurenceDusoswa It looks fairly similar to the CSX3 less the display. Taking the screen out of consideration, do you notice a difference in build quality/ergonomics between the CSX3 and MPX?
Yep I have some really odd issue with double sound during recording. It doesn’t happen on stream even though the settings are the same :( I need to sort it
Also, consider Sim racing addicts DDU 10.5 Sim Racing 5'' Dash Display with LEDs. Looks the same and has 4 more leds. Not as fancy build quality. 3d printed, but their magnetic mount I really like. And is 100+$ less. Really happy with mine🙂
7:21 I saw tha warning onn a batarang shaped pokect knife and for it being put on stuff like that it has become a meme. So yeah don't worry about it it's just one of Califonia's bills.
You can get data that games don’t natively provide on their on screen apps. You can also keep your monitor completely clean and tidy and have all your info in one place. Dashes are amazing once you properly start using them
@@LaurenceDusoswa thanks for the reply, i have simhub dash's, I just use them as an overlay on screen, if I want them (normally do) and they only pop up when you get in the car (pits race track and grid) then when you are not in the race they dont block your view, ive paid for simhub, just getting used to it. Overlays are great IMO. im just looking for a heads up display type dash now, so its transparent too... like heads up displays are IRL.
All looks fine, but i don't understand why their prices match or exceed those of companies who employ europeans or americans and pay a living wage. Hard to see any value proposition from these knowing they're made in China for a fraction of the retail price.
I also really enjoyed the magnetic mounts on my Sim Racing Addict dash. I purchased the Simcore LEV-1 mounting system for my GRID DDU5 to make it easier to adjust and remove when not in use.
great review. Thanks for putting this together. My MPX will be here in April and DDU5 and 10 are on the way. Great company with even better customer service.
The service is great for sure but the quality of the hardware shows incredible attention to detail. Every material and button is just very intentional

Thanks for the comment man!
Great review! The warning on the box is so that it can be sold in California. They have weird laws there.
That’s mad 😂😂😂 never seen it before
Great video! I have both of these products; such a great combo, I couldn't be happier!
Yeah I’m super happy too. Very very tidy kit
Amazing video as always.
Thanks buddy! Incredible hardware

definitely an end game combo
It's immense. I'm enjoying them so so much
100% agree on being a killer combo!!! 🎉🎉 Thanks for the video. Great as always. 🍻
Cheers!
Would you recommend an MPX or Cube Controls F-Pro?
I haven’t actually used/reviewed the f-pro. I did review the fcore and it really depends on your needs and budget.

I'm quite new to all this. Can I still get the dash if I'm using simucube. I'm not sure how it would connect?
Yeah it’s a standalone USB dash so it works with all wheelbases
The wheel looks really nice, looking forward to the long term review! This video seems to have double audio from around 21:55 onwards by the way…
Yep I have some really odd issue with double sound during recording. It doesn’t happen on stream even though the settings are the same :( I need to sort it
Looks really nice and as someone with large hands I really aprecate the space hey give you!
Yep and it still works for small handed folks like me too
I've got a Simagic Alpha U and FX coming but will very likely order the Grid DDU5
Awesome combo for sure. This dash is 🔥

@BoogieBusiness I might but I prefer the finish and knowing Simhub support it
@Laurence Dusoswa Thanks for this, looking forward to your in depth review. I"m waiting on mine to be delivered.
Oh you won’t be disappointed. I’m absolutely loving it
Good review as always! How does it compare to a Cube?
Which one?
A direct compare would be like the F-Pro perhaps?
Do you recommend this one over the F-Core?
It’s a lot more expensive. And it depends what you’re looking for. If I could only keep one, I’d keep this one yeah
7:21 I saw tha warning onn a batarang shaped pokect knife and for it being put on stuff like that it has become a meme. So yeah don't worry about it it's just one of Califonia's bills.
Madness 😂 is it just for Chinese stuff?
@@LaurenceDusoswa Nope just anything sold in California and has a material listed.
On devices better to add it as ‘grid by simlab’ than he actual wheel. Has more options. Some good profiles on grid discord
I added that but it didn’t work. I cut that whole segment out of the video so you didn’t have to watch me fumble with it 😂😂😂
@@LaurenceDusoswa Ensure you are only trying to run Either One or the other, You can simply turn off the other device on the Right side.
Steering wheel looks nice, but don't understand dash's for PC's (for console I get it)

Yep that works great too. One big thing a standalone dash also adds for me is the depth. It’s more immersive for me
5” screen is a bit small in this day and age.. 7” should not cost much more to manufacture, and a closer replica.
7” on a rig is way too big in my opinion, especially with a huge bezel

I'm not sure they're 100% built in china to be honest. That's a question for them to answer. I'm pretty sure they make some of it in house
Im honestly not impressed by the dash. Sim racing addict sells the exact same thing but with a magnetic adjustable mount and it's a lower price.
It is 3D printed but must admit does look good
@@kenjidadtwitchtv it is yes but the only time anyone would feel the plastic will be when it's installed
Definitely visually similar. I have given them feedback about the mounts already and you’re right.
I also really enjoyed the magnetic mounts on my Sim Racing Addict dash. I purchased the Simcore LEV-1 mounting system for my GRID DDU5 to make it easier to adjust and remove when not in use.
Plus the 10 extra leds! The four at the bottom is great for fuel warnings and high beam indicator. Least that's how I use those.
The ddu5 is way over priced for the weak ass screen it has. Big deal it’s aluminum body still not worth it and outdated plug
It’s not cheap and there’s room for improvement. I have relayed my initial feedback to them.
