It was really cold, and one of the people there didn't make it. Then, at about 2:00 a.m., we arrived in Miami. Since we didn't want to get deported we had to apply for political asylum. Then, after a year and 2 weeks, our political asylum came, and we were officially residents

The teacher said “okay kind of, what else?” Then someone put “straight white people” and she said “exactly!” Then everyone else just put either that or “straight white men.” Like how? That makes no sense. I found it ironic bc that demonstrates my classmates bias against straight white people 😂

@@MEladypython its accurate considering the past of american history, if you were cis straight white male back in the day you were treated with high respect and had a lot of rights. women, the gays, and anyone of any race (mostly African americans) had almost none of the rights compared to white men. (women and other races were treated extremely unfairly. while the gays, if they were caught, they were treated extremely unfairly, and if im not mistaken, had some church punishments too)
