On March 6th, 2024, I decided to head out to this crossing in the afternoon to see about getting a re-recording of it, especially since I was able to set up my camera on the road due to it being closed for the new Pattullo Bridge construction nearby. I didn’t have to wait long until I saw CN L591 crossing the Fraser River Bridge. Soon enough, the crossing activated, and CN L591 came crawling through with a pair of SD60s per usual on this train.
Since my first video of this crossing back in 2019, nothing has really changed to the signals. The neat setup of the near signal being just under a parkade and the neat split-signal setup on the far side still remain. The scratchy Invensys Rail E-Bells still remain too after all these years, though I guess if they still do the job for audible warning sounds for the crossing, they can remain the way they are.
