Great stuff Ken as usual. Would be good to see you do more mods and upgrades on existing instruments 😀 That soldering... as Dave Reaume says 'amateur tampering'!'

I was a huge fan of Nuno's playing, but not to the point I followed all his gear and guitar models like I did other players (Vai, VH, Satch, Bratta, etc).... I guess I was wrong, but I thought all the Washburn Nuno models had that weird neck joint that extended into the upper cutaway?
and yes, that old solder looks like silver boogers LOL

Does anyone know how to adjust the trust rod on the N1. I have one but the trust rod is in a very awkward position that doesn't allow me to get to it because the pickup is in the way. Any advice would be awesome. \m/

My reply reaches you one year later so I hope it will help you :
You should find a small plastic cover that covers the access to the truss rod...
It's true that the neck humbucker is in the way so you'll have to lower it so that your allen wrench can get into the truss rod...
Because the truss rod access is at the end of the fingerboard turning it towards the treble strings will tighten it whereas turning it towards the bass strings will loosen it...
If you still can't reach the truss rod even with the neck humbucker all the way down you might have to remove the neck just to access it very much like the old Fenders...
      Have a nice day 😁

I don’t solder enough to be an expert but can do a much better job than whoever soldered those old pots.
