As a guy who's not the biggest fan of it, my reasons are: it's more of a army movie (one example being like Metal Jacket) then a Chucky movie due to the setting like Andy being mistreated since he's new. And I find most of the kills lame (especially when compared to kills from the other Chucky movies) like the 1st kill just drags on and on. So I think it's the worst movie
I have memories of my dad watching these films when I was a kid, I was maybe 4 or 5, and he could not have them playing while I was in the room - I was TERRIFIED. Now as a 20 year old, I can safely say it's my favourite horror movie franchise of all time. Complete masterpiece.
Fun fact: Don Mancini (the creator of the Chucky franchise) and Brad Dourif (the actor who played Chucky (physically and by voice)) both said that they didn't like working on this movie.

The old movies use practical effects and nowadays they usually use cgi/computer generated Image and the old ones have more unique stories atleast for me
