And I just bought the LS 600x (and had to hide the cost as a down payment on the kid’s braces😏) and had to buy the Matthew’s heaviest stand but it fills the studio more than the SUN! (Just kidding about the braces… never even married so all my $$$ are mine 😁)
So glad to see Prolycht’s fingerprints on this new launch! Scooping their team up to help develop this line was a smart move. Their color tech was unmatched. The locking mechanism is an absolute necessity! Well done.

@@adambelanger it's the same size as the 1200D. It depends... F10, no, because of that specific construction. there's a better accessory coming anyhow. the light domes will all work.
Good work. I've been using the original lightstorms. I bought 4. They work great. Just wires should be longer. Ballast controller dangles when wires are short for my 6 year old lights.

So this test is the difference between the surface, the phosphor of the detergent affects the LED light and the sun? Other items or skin tones that don't understand what will be yellow and greenish
we didn't flag off as much as we wanted, so there is a quality of light difference that has nothing to do with the spectral change. it's a false you're comparison you're making, due to my inability to control conditions the way I wanted 😞

I don't understand why we would require so much color accuracy in the early stage, and can a film colorist explain how important the accuracy of this light is to the impact of our post-grading, stylization?
I'm no colorist but logically, I can imagine that better quality light would allow a better starting base by having more spectral information to work with from the light instead of having to fight the lighting on every shot as dealing with incomplete lighting spectrums are far more important than a sensor chip alone for something like skin tones for example. Though I also imagine this importance for lights like these is probably more applicable for when you want the tranquility of all of the aspects like studio work

PS: Arri makes lights and cameras among other things, I can only imagine when Aputure outgrows lighting and starts looking for other ventures, buying DJI would be a wild move for example.

@@billmakesmovies. what device do you use the apps on? And what are the fixtures? because I use an Android tablet that I can run 2 apps on the screen at once. and I only use to brands of lights, but I know there are some tablets that you can run 3 or more apps at a time
Skin tones at 14:09 look green? The Storm 1200x at 11:25 looks very drab against natural daylight. The traditional Bi-color light has more warmth in it but less saturated. I'm a bit confused as to why they showed a side by side comparison of the 1200x against natural daylight as it's pretty obvious the 1200x looks very inferior.
(I have done so many tests and used it in seminars at this point that I have found it to work the same if not better than bicolor. the whole point here is that should just try it before you trust the word of a marketing video.)

My 200X S has a 91 daylight SSI!

DJI is a hundred times bigger than aputure, and I work here, so the difference is huge
