This was awesome to see. Especially since just a few days ago I shot a pack of Polaroid 500 film in my Olympus C-211 Zoom that was supposedly kept refrigerated since 2002 but all I got were 10 "tan" photo's and some toxic odors hahaha. I love your video's!
Polaroid type 500 expires very quickly, even when refrigerated, because there are so few chemicals in the pods to begin with.
Those were the days, when Polaroid Pack film was available, usually at large department or camera stores. It is interesting that the "amateur" 100 and 80 series packs have aged better than the "professional" 669. I recall that "professional" film was described as "ripe bananas," while "amateur" film was "slightly green" and needed "time to ripen.";)
Love your channel ! It reminds me when i used packfilms during 00's all the time. I loved 664. I was the weird guy with the CSI camera (ProPack) ;) But everybody loved that. Too bad they stopped packfilm, even Fuji was great. But i still have 1 full fridge with almost everyfilm possible. You give me motivation to use them before is really too late :)
Love these kind of shooting videos! Wouldnt even mind if you just walked around and shot the modern polaroid stuff :)

Did Polaroid skip type 666?
Where did you get the 88 film? I know most out there is completely dried up but I would love to give it a go. My grandad just gave me some of his old polaroid cameras!

I have tried shooting 2 packs of pack film and never could get the pull part to actually come out of the camera, is there some secret technique that I'm not doing or is it just bad film?

Overall I’d say pretty awesome results. Hey; I was wondering if your ever gonna dona vídeo on 127 film. I know you’ve talked briefly about it buts it’s pretty neat especially when shot through those old Kodak brownie Bakelite cameras.
Wish there were more videos of people shooting expired film.
There aren’t even any videos of people shooting professional integral film. Like 690 or 733 or along those lines.
Nice shot of Noah at 2:17. Looks like it was taken in the 1920s! The expired emulsion gives it a vintage look. Looks like you guys had fun with the old cameras!
Are you gonna shoot New 55?
Any suggestions on synch shutter cords for the Polaroid EE100 ? Or ideas how to connect it with a strobe? Thank You!
No experience with that specifically, but I know the EE100 takes the old flash cubes so the only way connect to a flash would be to do a conversion of some sort. I've used this site before and like their stuff! They do give some information on the thickness of the skin as well.

I've given up trying to shoot any of this, anytime I find it or buy it expired, they're always dried out and I'm not willing to shell out 100$ for Fp100c
I have a 667 3000 iso pack. How long should I develop it? Is there a way to overdevelop and damage it if I don't peel apart in the right time?
You should let it develop longer rather than shorter. I’d give it 5ish minutes.

Is there a way to switch pack film mid pack into another camera?
It's not difficult to swap mid pack, but it needs to be done in complete darkness or else the shot at the front will be ruined! Just makes sure the white tabs are hanging out like normal.

What do you guys use to scan your Polaroids to digital ??
I scan them using an Epson V700!
Some day, some genius will figure this one out again ... or I can dream, at least. ha ha.
Well there is one instant pack film but it is bloody expensive but it does work in Fuji and Polaroid pack film cameras and it is new.
@@favmansanimatronicsmore2377 Oh yeah. I have a few shots of it ... One Instant. I am sure they'll be able to make new chemicals if they can make enough sales, but the product is so high waste that I just don't know how that pans out.
Yeah and when the p7 chemicals runs out they will be in a pickle. Reason I say is because all they are doing is cutting down the old 20x24 film.
@@favmansanimatronicsmore2377 Oh yeah. I wish Polaroid would take interest in innovators like New 55, who have made a fairly decent spreadable reagent at this point, as well as new chemical pouches and pretty nice receiver prints.

Ok, I've tried different films from eBay all of which is expired because i cannot afford FP-100C, None of them have worked at all
though this is proof in itself that the chemicals in these will outlast Standard instant film.
Did better than me, my last pack of 669 was so dry it was glued together. Sodium Sulphite certainly makes it faster but water does work with some scrubbing (why yes I am guarding my last box of polaroid 55pn that is twenty years old but works beautifully).
how many Polaroid roll film cameras do you own 🤔? if so what type of roll film do they use?# for fan mail sake
Alex and I have access to models that can take both type 40 and type 30 films! As well as a Swinger that can take Type 20.
Awesome video! Hey, I'm fairly sure you follow Nick Carver's stuff, so I wonder what your thoughts are on New55? I'm just getting into 4x5, and while New55 is really enticing and might even be a "solution" to this whole thing, it would be really nice to hear from more people about it before I start spending even more :p
It's something I've been looking into, but haven't used any of it myself. Eventually I'd love to look at the 4x5 side of instant film and New55, but currently I'm exploring the pack film side of things!
what are they wiping on the image ?
That's a protective print coater that many Polaroid black and white packfilm's required in order to prevent fading and damage.
The original black and white Polaroid peel apart film (roll film like Type 47, Type 42, and pack film like 107) required a coater with a sticky, smelly liquid like glue that you wiped over the surface. Without the coater the image fades to a brown silvery color. You can find old Polaroids in thrift stores and vintage stores where the coater missed some spots.
Later black and white films like 107C and 667 didn't require the coater but the positive + negative film like Type 55 and 665 did require the coater.

Could you please tell me - is it possible to take photos, get it from camera and separate print and negative some hours later (like FP100c), or negative should be putted in water immediate after developed time (about 1 minute)?
Yes! As long as you're careful with them you can clear the negative hours later
