Good choice of microphone. I've had mine for almost 15 years and compared it to most in the way of microphones and find this best suited for my slightly darker voice.
Is it safe to say you like the SunSDR2 DX? I just ordered one last night. Getting a little hard to find at the moment. Just hoping support and software updates continue
The next update for ExpertSDR3 will be may 5th 2023. Just 5 days away as of May 1, 2023. I hear that the final ExpertSDR3 version will be out in December of this year. So far, even though ExpertSDR3 is buggy, I still prefer it over ExpertSDR2. With the bugs gone (reportedly) the ExpertSDR3 should be a killer app.
@@Stevesmith-yw7cr I'm hoping they publish some type of documentation for it soon. I'm new to SDR and trying to use the manual for ExpertSDR 2 to figure it all out
I have the Heil PR781 and SunSDR2 DX and I don't need that Focusrite device, just plug it into the radio.. I don't get it 4K wide? Using 4K on a busy band is kinda nuts. 3K is more than enough.... The reason those guys can't be heard is because their audio is not setup for DX but for rag chew. You need to watch Bob Heil videos and he explains how to set up audio for working DX and rag chew. Personally I don't like his audio, way too much low end... no wonder you can't hear him when he is weak!

Yes, I still like the SunSDR2 DX. I also added an Anan to my arsenal.

Yes, it's not for everyone. Maybe with the mic connected to the front mic input, the latency would be close to nil.
