The Bangles - Eternal Flame (1988). Ashtyn&Jon REACTION

- The purpose of me requesting they react to songs like these is just to expose them to music they may or may not have heard before, to expand their horizons and to sate my curiosity over whether they will like them or not.
I am responsible for the song choices, what I choose to request so if want to complain about that then that's fair game but if want to complain about Ashtyn or Jon's reaction just remember this is not their channel and by proxy it is very unlikely they will read your comments unless I personally pass the message on next time I speak to them...however I have zero interest in passing on any vindictive, rude or spiteful comments.
They do these for me and I just post many of them here in case other people might also be curious about what they think of these songs too after they send me the videos and I have watched them myself. As mentioned this is not their channel, if you wish to visit their channel it can be found listed below.

The main girl of this song is Susanna Hoffs. This band's arguably most famous song is "Walk Like An Egyptian". There's also "Manic Monday" and "Hazy Shade of Winter". The other girls are featured more in these songs other than just backup vocals.
I can’t believe they are still going
Im still in love with Susanna after all these years.
i discovered that too WLAE also has Vicki and Michael also singing lead, as for Debbi, she wanted no part in that song back then
That's why you need to go deep into their discography. They a lot of good songs such as "Be With You", "Let It Go", "Following", "Angel's Don't Fal In Love", "Stealing Rosemary", "Not Like You", "Complicated Girl", "Watching The Sky" and many many more! In fact the other girls are the lead singers in those songs and they do it quite well. Michael Steel is my favorite Bangle btw!
@@mcgee227 Every single guy i knew in the 80's was in love with Susanna... I know i surely was....
She is still amazingly beautifull today in her 60's, she looks like she is in her late 30's, its unbelievable
Susanna Hoffs, the woman that never gets old, she still looks stunning even when she is 60 now.
Vicki does too
Suzanna Hoffs has been the love of my life since the 80s.
aaaaand… I'm 5 years old again back in my old bedroom I shared with my older sister in the late 80's. Thanks for doing this, it means a lot.
It's so funny how little emotion you two showed during this reaction. It was like you were both sitting in a car waiting for the light to change at a traffic stop. LOL !!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Susanna Hoffs was my first celebrity crush. 😅
I can't be doing anything when I hear this song I have to pull over stop and listen to the whole thing all the way through. And I've been listening to it for over a decade or more
When pop music was good
I remember this from my childhood. The 80s had some great music. Id love relive it all over again
Ah Susanna Hoffs. My First rock chick crush even though she's 17 years older than me, and the cause of many men's wet dreams in the 80s. Their cover of Hazy Shade of Winter is amazing.
I've noticed that whenever millineals hear classic songs for the first time they have this sort of "Oh fxck! this is what good music is supposed to be like eh?" Kind of reaction on their faces.
"Here is a concept that you probably have not come across before in your socalled music, kids - it's called a me-lo-dy ..." 😉
@@Bjowolf2 lol...they just don't understand how outstanding this is and that they can sing this live
the 50's to the 80's ARE the time of the classics ... just look at the amount of views ... I'm so glad to have been there
Agree, great times
love this song back in the 80
My favorite Bangles song is "If She Knew What She Wants" (written by Jules Shear).
It's hard to believe that you are enthusiastic about the music when you're yawning all through the "reaction." I understand life is busy for you, perhaps more so than for many others, but if you take this challenge on: Wake Up! so as to put the best possible face on it. This is just some friendly advice, since I like the song and the reviewers/reactors seem fine, but that was the first and main thing I noticed: the indolent approach. It's good to be relaxed, but not lethargic, Sincerely wishing you both all the best in each of your future endeavors!
Grade 10 high school dances ✌️
I like how you guys waited till the end of the song to make the comments. You didn't stop the song
The Bangles - In Your Room
Yes!
Yes
I actually like their version of Hazy shade of Winter over this.
Hazy Shade of Winter..... so UNDERRATED
Hazy Shade of Winter and Going Down to Liverpool.
Get separate headphones! Stereo was invented decades ago.
😂
I had dreams about Susanna Hoff. Every time I listen to an 80s jam it just depresses me because of how much better it was back then without all of the BS today
The bangles beatiful i Love's you
Some people thought that this was Cindy Lauper when it came out.
Good song and the singer is damn hot. 😀
They ... they dont know this song ? they knows nothing ...
Please get dual headphones. You're only hearing half the music.
Not if they have mono audio enabled. That's what my wife and I do with my AirPods.
Susanna Hoffs was my first celebrity crush! Ha!
Eternal flame is now an iconic Bangles ballad, the only iconic Bangles song Susanna hoffs co wrote, she and the other members did not write Egyptian, Manic monday was written by Prince, EF has been featured in many movies and tv shows including Ramona and Beezus and Bedtime Stories, the band broke up in 1989, but 10 years later, they would reunite to write songs including Get the Girl for Austin powers 2, the redhead Michael Steele, retired, go to Wikipedia for more info
Check out 2019 performance, she still sings great
Mate these guys have like no emotion or reaction to anything ahahah
Yeah, pretty much like watching Klingons react.
If you dont react to more Bangles then you have never lived.
LOL She’s definitely going through it/tomato breath has no clue.
FUCK ME, she doesnt react to that amazing voice AT ALL! maybe jealous? or not bothered
She seems like a right party animal :)
Good job bro
Had to stop and listen to this song. Susannah Hoffs is a beautiful singer.
Tears r Usually a Given
The song " El perdón " by Diana Navarro
Wow! At 4:40 she yawns???!
THE SONG " EL PERDÓN " BY .DIANA NAVARRO
The best part of the song is when the backup vocals started their harmony, without it, the song will not be that beautiful. And the perfect moments were when Micki, the most beautiful of them appeared. 😁😇 0:54, 1:56, 3:12, and 3:47. I have not seen a beautiful face like Michael Steele's! Her face is one in a million and naturally beautiful. Her face is a masterpiece of God! And She is the only one- red-haired Goddess of Beauty!
Also to "These are the days" by 10,000 maniacs
A good song, but my favorite Bangle song is Walk like an Egyptian...Im far from any big fan or something, but they did a couple of songs that were good..worth doing a reaction on this..
The song every karaoke singer fails. Ever, ever and ever.
React to manic Monday from this band as well
Como muitos americanos, o tipo pratica voz de arroto.
I still know all of the words.
Reactions to ever obvious manic Monday by bangles and 80s band banarama's Cruel summer
I like how it says "deeznutz" in the middle, lol.
seems like there is no Eternal flame here
They don't stop the song constantly like so many other reactors its annoying.
Keep. The comment till the song. Is over for full effect.
Cheers
You didn’t watch the real music video because the music video did not fade out that powerful last eternal flaaaaaammmmmeeeeee!
Yeah you can really get the full effect with just one earbud in. I mean come on give the song the respect it deserves
This is a decent song, but I think the even better option concerning The Bangles would have been their main and biggest hit, Walk like an egyptian, which video is rather fun and interesting as well....
Walk like an Egyptian was a novelty song that the band hated with a passion...record company forced them to record it and even made the other ladies audition to sing on it...the drummer didn't sing or play on song , drums added by a drum machine....they had a lot of really good songs ....Walk like an Egyptian is not one of them
This is there best song or manic monday
@@dvsreed And R.E.M. Loathe Shiny Happy People BUT IT'S STILL AN AMAZING SONG!!!
Yes we all know why it has so many views S H
Yeah you can really get the full effect with just one earbud in.
Decade 60's: 1960, 1961, 1964, 1969
Decade 80's: 1981, 1982, 1983, 1988, 1989
Decade 00's: 2007, 2009
This song has no chorus.
Its a good song, not their best though. Let them do an reaction on Walk like an egyptian, their greatest hit...that would be nice...
These two are the most dullest reactors I have seen. Do they film just before their bedtime? Totally devoid of energy or any enthusiasm. How they have subscribers is beyond me.
whoa.. 1987.. i was in 7th grade.. lolz my exs love this song and it qas olayed alit in all schools geez i was 14yrs
