    I sure hope that Stingray isnt resting on a metal zipper. Try explaining those marks to the customer buying the bass. Sounds real nice. Only 100 made so good luck finding one.

    Very average sound to my ears. Musicman Stingrays lost their mojo other the years... They wanted more this and more than and finally the sound is not really distinctive anymore, especially when you have a Darkglass overdrive/saturation integrated to the preamp, which I don't like very much tbh. Back in the days, in 1990 an MM20 2 band eq, the 2010/2011 Classic Stingray, the 40 th anniversary Old Smoothie are much better sounding basses. Nothing comes close to the Stingrays around 1980 and the Sabre bass at this time, but these instruments are expensive today. Not keen at all of those "modern" Stingrays, sorry.

      More than likely its your ears that have changed over the years... The new stingrays are amazing!

      ​@soundwisestudios5340 He's actually right. The 2 band did sound better. That's why people are buying Ray24's now and being like hey this sounds better than a Special. Because that's the real Stingray sound.
