As a new comer to Wisconsin, I thank you for this video! Been fishing the fox for weeks trying for my daughter’s first fish. No luck. Before now I haven’t fished in 20 years (Rainbow trout).
Hey and welcome to the fox. If you check out some of my vids from this year and last, you can pick up some tips on how and where to fish it. It can actually be very similar to fishing for trout if you're talking about fly fishing below spillways, obstructions and anywhere theres rapids etc. It should be in full swing now and I hope to be fishing it more now. Good luck to you and your daughter!
Hey, post up some more spots. I'm going to invade Illinois from Wisconsin and ruin all your favorite places😮 Just giving you FIBS a hard time. Nice spot
When I fish the creek mouths entering into the Fox river I always have good luck. Nice sized smallies and channel cats. I dont like fishing the dams due to crowds alone.
@arthurdirindinjr1792 We used to fish the WI harbors where the Kings were so thick you couldn't help bump them every cast. Haven't done it in a long time though. Mostly in the 10-15 lb range 👍
The areas below the dams have always been the best places to fish which is a good and a bad thing because it's heavily overfished and all species of fish are being taken out. Not many C&R fisherman on the Fox. Fish swim upstream. Remove the dams and any fish remaining will just swim all the way up to the Chain imo.
I used to live on Algonquin rd in the late 60s as a kid ,what a great place to be a kid in love with everything out doors.
Cold weather walley should be biting , Dan gappen would be proud of ya RIP dan . Good job on the bass cheers from northern indiana usa

@@scottwilliams3481 True. It's getting more difficult to find an open spot that hasn't been picked clean
