The Waldorf Streichfett String Synthesizer is absolutely unique in terms of its concept and sound. You are very limited in what you can do, but within those limits anything is really possible. Most electronic musical instruments today have a huge feature set, but unfortunately they are poor and awkward to use. With Waldorf Streichfett it is exactly the opposite. Finally a real instrument that is very easy to use and a lot of fun. As it stands, I will definitely get the Waldorf STVC at some point as well.

This little beaut got me into the old cheesy string machine sound and more importantly the FX chains that made them sound so good. Recently I have now programmed my own FX chains into my multi FX units for use with my poly synths such as the Dave Smith Prophet Rev 2, that sounds even better of course when done right but this thing is great value and low cost and excellent introduction to an interesting world that existed before most of us were musicians
I remember many years ago, any sort of platform that could do something like this was big, and very expensive. The tech has really come a long way . . . very nicely done demo.
Great machine. Some sections even have mellotron kind of quality. Fun to program and very versatile for its size and only few knobs. Love it. Sits on my desk since release. Nice demo.

Couldn't wait for the Behringer Solina, got the Streichfett cheap used yesterday and quite pleased. Just found out each side can be played on separate midi channels, quite a fun bonus!
@@yodigak8810 if your keyboard has a 5 pin DIN midi out, then you can connect directly using a midi cable (that's the simplest solution). If it only has USB then you'll need a midi host in between, can be your audio interface or a dedicated usb midi host like a Kenton.

I had a roland rs 202 that I sold to guitar center in a moment of regretful desperation. I loved that thing and am trying to find something vaguely similar that I can afford. Thanks!
I really wish they would release a knobbier version of the Blofeld. I don't have $4300 for a quantum, but $2k would be reasonable for a more performance-friendly Blofeld keyboard.

loktar Rc 505 is must have! You can record synth and acustic and then make really complex sets :)

This + Waldorf Rocket is why I no longer care for a Prophet or Moog. Waldorf, a company for the non elite.
Waldorf are my fave. Quantum is by far the best synth tbh. Better than Serum I’ve found.
