What an easy and fun technique! I've seen videos where you carve designs into rubber erasers, but I know I'd never get a good result with that. When I saw you cutting out those little leaves and gluing them onto another layer of foam, I almost cheered! I can do this! I envision many happy hours of experimenting and creating in the days ahead. Many thanks for sharing this technique! 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much, Roxanne. Yes, I tried carving into 'rubber-stamp-making material', but it didn't work for me. I have been making these little items since April & at first I was thinking, " Most channels make ONE video on foam stamps & move on. Why can't I?" But with all the lovely comments I keep getting, and people thanking me for saving them money, there is more to this than people realise. So I went on a mission to promote them as I can see so many possibilities- and the video title must have captured people's imaginations. It's great. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Thank you for this, I have watched some previous stamp videos which inspired me to make my own. You make it so easy! I changed your process a bit. I had some rigid transparent plastic from Milk jugs which I used instead of cardboard. This way I can see the placement of the foram and can line things up if I want to. Also I added a tape "handle" (by doubling over part of a length of tape and then taping the free ends to the plastic) which I find easier to grip and control. I love your channel and your free spirited approach, I find it hard to just relax and play which you make seem so easy.
Aw you are so lovely. I love your amazing tip. I will have a look at that idea as it means your are still using free/ cheap materials. Thank you so much, Leslie, hopefully that's your name 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Just trying your idea now. It's a great alternative for the reasons you say. I left a bit at the side to grab hold of as well as a handle. Thank you so much, again 💖💖💖😊😊😊
I love making my own foam stamps. Easy to. And using dies too. But I like the originality of cutting my own shapes. Adding double sided tape before cutting out is also an option. Can still use glue to give wiggle room.
Thank you so much Sheryi. Yes, exactly what I said/ meant. I have never used double-sided tape, but feel you could. I prefer the wiggle room, as I try it out when wet as you can't always tell how it will print. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Love these stamps Hazel ! Not sure how to explain , but you can take masking tape and stick it down , then squeeze it together and it makes a handle for your stamps . I saw this from another video and found it helpful. I tend to drop the cardboard sometimes when I’m stamping, this solved my problem. ❤️Thank you for all the tips and shares ! ( Al John is the crafter )
Thank you so much, Mary. I know what you mean about handles 😊😊😊. I will have to mention them. Someone else has already said about handles and using plastic milk containers instead of cardboard (which is keeping in with the junk theme). I am so grateful for all your modifications & tips. It helps us all as I can announce them & mention who told me. Oh Al John. I came across her before. I did her idea on video. I think it was some sort of "bead", which was a pain to make, but gorgeous. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Aw bless you, Flora. Sorry to hear you are unwell. I have a simple cold, which I got from my husband who has a chest infection on top, but I have been so busy & made this video today after a visit from the washing machine repair man & putting the Christmas tree up and unraveling the lights (every year I vow to get them onto rollers so they don't tangle, every year I don't...). I am now hoping I don't get my husband's cough. I do hope you feel better soon. Thinking of you❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
I very much appreciate this, as I'm fairly new to paper art and ink/stamping. This opens a ton of possibilities for me. Thanks!!! New Sub. I did some wayyyy years ago, but my creativity and attention went to being a mom, and how, with empty nest, I can return. With this inexpensive method, the possibilities are, truly, endless. So grateful.
Thank you so much. I definitely wish I had discovered this method years ago. Mind you, perhaps I appreciate it more now. I use them so much! & this leaf design has gone down a storm. It is adorable, though. I got the idea from a rubber stamp. It looks totally different, but I like this design better😊😊😊💖💖💖
Very cool! It’s amazing how lively your stamps are, compared to commercial ones. My hands aren’t good enough to carve, but I can sure use scissors. Thanks!
Thank you so much. You are the 2nd person to say something like that. (One person said she almost cheered when she saw II used scissors😄😄😄). I have tried carving, but to no avail. But yes, using scissors is much more friendly. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Thank you so much, Valerie. Aw they like to be with me. I currently have Tauriel, Jubblee, Arwen (cats) and dog Nico with me. Jubblee wouldn't meow to join in but he is very sociable & runs to the door if someone comes & waits outside the front gate in case kids come past & want to stroke him. The local primary school is nearby (for kids aged 3-11)so he gets lots of attention. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Just discovered your channel. That is such a clever and easy way to make stamps. TY for sharing. I am excited to try it and look forward to watching more videos on your channel.
Thank you so much. I have had some lovely feedback regarding my channel and I am so glad it is reaching new people. Have fun making foam stamps. They are so useful 😊😊😊💖💖
Hi there, Daria. Thank you so much. I do tend to use Scotch permanent stick glue. There may be other glues. I am told art glitter glue works, but for me, it didn't. (The person who told me doesn't like stick glues & therefore I am sure they found a way to make the art glitter glue work). Also there is sticky backed foam & double-sided tape, but I like the wiggle room of the stick glue. Hope that helps 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Thank you so much, Patricia. Yes, it's regular foam. I got it from Amazon. It was described as 2mm thick ( about 1/16th of an inch). I imagine it's available in stores. Hope that helps 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Does the quality of the foam sheets matter? I can get them from the dollar store or should i buy a slightly better quality for it to work better? I heard on creator say to use a good foam sheet.
Hi Karin, I am not sure what grade the foam should be. I tend to use good quality inks to print with. The archival type ink seems amazing. The foam I have seems to be good quality, too however. I seem to have got quite a lot. I have found some of the sheets I bought and the price on Amazon & I got About 30 sheets of A4 & 30 sheets half the size, so 60 sheets all for £12.73 ($16.17 currently). It says it's 2mm thick. Sometimes you can find a genuine bargain in the cheap shop. But these sheets work out at under 15p (18c) for the small ones and under 29p (36c) for the larger ones. That sounds good to me. I think things are a bit more expensive in the US, but I hope this helps. 😊😊😊💖💖💖

I love the idea of the little snip at the bottom of the leaf. Great idea! I'm going to make some right now!!
Thank you so much Sally. Yes that little snip shows up nicely. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Thank you for a great video. Much cheaper idea than buying stamps.
Thank you so much. I wish I had found them sooner 😄😄😄💖💖💖

Good evening Hazel, another g8 process video. Thank you. Gentle hugs achta Karen 😂😂😂
Thank you so much, Karen 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Ah, just saw you are the UK lady whose name I was searching for recently - Karen 😄😄😄💖💖💖
@hazycrazyartz
Oh!, I'm famous then Hazel lol.
Hugs achta. Love your channel x
Great idea. Love how u snipped into the each leaf to give it a vein. Gotta try this. I think I’m going to try gluing down a string for the stem.
Thank you so much, Kimberly. Sounds good- about the string. It just needs to be the same height as thr foam😊😊😊💖💖💖
Oh how lovely your leaf stamp is!!...luv to hear you talk about your " fur babies" 😊
Thank you so much, Valerie. Aw they like to be with me. I currently have Tauriel, Jubblee, Arwen (cats) and dog Nico with me. Hi there! Brand new to your channel and loved this little tutorial. Scotch glue for adhering the foam to foam? Thanks!

very cool and is this just regular foam from a craft store?
Thank you so much, Patricia. Yes, it's regular foam. I got it from Amazon. It was described as 2mm thick ( about 1/16th of an inch). I imagine it's available in stores. Hope that helps 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Thank you!😊
Thank you so much, too 😊😊😊💖💖💖
Great idea! What is the foam you use?
It's described as 2mm thickness. It seems good quality. Thank you so much, Jess 😊😊😊💖💖💖
