Hello Gilbert and Lilian, Thanks for the 'quality food video' . I am from KL, we are Cantonese, similarly we are family of 5 are planning for a food feast to Guangzhou to eat their roost goose, dim sum and Tong shui dessert. Thanks for the tip, we just we have to watch out to order less as the dim sum and wanton mee portion is so big. We now have a 30 days visa free entry to China, that make a travelling easier. Cheers...
Slight suggestion- can recap all the recommended restaurants by listing the names and addresses in the final frame of the video? For users’ ease of reference . Tks!!
Very nice video. You both look very happy and peaceful. I will be end of October, on transit for one entire day in Guangzhou before to go to Bali . Looking for a day use hotel, or I see at the end of your video, you were in a Spa, do you have the contact or address, is it in the centre of Guangzhou ? Unfortunately, in France I can't find it on Internet, by its name you indicated. Thank you! 😊
Hello Gilbert and Lilian, This is a really yummy episode. I copied all the restaurant names and addresses and will eat my way through GZ with this list. Thank you for sharing. From Luan.
Thank you for this video. I visited 8 out of 10 of the places you recommend. Very delicious and fantastic. I will continue to watch your video. May I know if you will have Australia video soon?
Thanks for the comments and so nice to hear that the video has been helpful in planning your trip. Australia… not yet but will consider in the near future.
Thank you so much!! We'll be staying near Beijing Road. We were there only 1 day last time, and had a difficult time figuring out where to eat. This is a help 🙏🙏🙏
Fantastic and informative, thank you :) Will visit a few of them during my trip next week! It helps when you list the names of the eateries and their addresses.
Thanks for this video. We are travelling to Guangzhou for the first time at the end of this week and your video really got my mouth watering in anticipation. I would really like to try some of the eateries you recommend but as we don't speak Chinese (I am learning since only 4 months so have some very basic skills), I wonder how easy or difficult it will be to order what we want 😅
Hey, glad to know that the video has inspired you. I’m Guangzong, many of the waiters do speak a little of English, so hopefully you can get by. Other things that might help is Google Translate and in the worst case scenarios, rely on the pictures on the menu.
Hi...can I know if there's an app to use to navigate around GZ like Google map? For transport like metro how do I pay fare? Is didi safe to take for 2 ladies?
Hi, you can check out my video on the use of Alipay for foreigners. You can use that for your Metro rides. It is definitely safe to use Didi. I think it’s safer than using taxis since each trip is recorded and tracked. For navigating in China, you can use Baidu maps.
I should not watch this video. This made me very hungry. Especially the sweet desserts. Being a type II diabetes, most of them are not suitable for my blood sugar condition. Delicious food along with accurate presentation!
@@gibbontravelogue We have many dim sum restaurants here in Silicon Valley, CA. Our restaurants here don't have as many varieties but they are really good. However, dim sum generally will spike my blood sugar. For my health, I need to avoid starchy food. I had dim sum 3 times in the past 7 years.
Good filming and interesting; but you killed it by reading from your carefully prepared scripts. Throw your scripts out, be spontaneous it would be more interesting and entertaining then. Good luck.
Starbucks in Shamian is special because of the location and architecture of the building that houses it and obviously not for the food. But we love Starbucks coffee

Great video. You need to display the prices of all dishes.
Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video. Hmmm… not sure if i keep track of the price of each dish.

Hi. The Qu Hua Ge Jia is at Beijing road? The google map shows a further place.
Yes, it is just opposite the Mercure Hotel in Beijing Road.
The dessert ming ji address is correct but different owner and stall setting.
Interesting… 🧐 did you go to the Ming Ji address in Guangzhou?
Hi, any chance to get the address for the digital market? Thanks

which is the best dim sum?
My favourite is Dim Sum at 点都德
How does Guangzhou cuisine compare to Singapore in terms of food choices, quality, and value for money, like for like? 😮
I have to say, while the quality of food is comparable in Singapore, the restaurants in Guangzhou provides greater value for money.
11:39 陳村粉
11:55 豬腸粉
广州比新加坡好吃多了 😊
各有特色
A waiter in Guangzhou said it will cost 18 RMB (S$3.35) for a plate of sliced red chilli pepper to go with my noodles.
That’s ridiculous ☹️
Great video until Starbucks....

Why go to China and go Starbucks… might as well stay home

TTJ is boring!!! Omg 😨
Oh no. TTJ is superb, just the history and the architecture of this place is enough is get me all excited.
