- The TAC's Make a Film, Make a Difference (MAFMAD) competition invites young filmmakers aged 25 and under to write a short film idea that will challenge young drivers attitudes to driving and encourage them to look out for their mates.

The concept was that "Jonno"-the driver is in denial that his mate on the trolley is dying until he hears the monitor flat line and the doctor declare his mate dead. That is when it hits home
It's hilarious but at the same time it's really sad. The ending is what gets ya.
Yeah and he will have to live with that guilt the rest of his life
Bring these back on TV.
Why do you think its called "Denial"? Its the guys imagination, he cant get his head past the fact he killed his mate. The guys unconcious and his heart stopped. Hencyy they brought out the Defib..
If you've ever seen someone go into shock from blood loss and die shortly after, you'll know what was depicted here.

The other man was "in Denial" as the title says.

I think the message is much clearer in this video than 'Yes mum'. It's also a little bit humourous.
I dont think people realize how painful this denial is
just think about it
you just accidentally killed someone you loved, someone you cared about.
and then you’re in the hospital and you keep trying to reassure yourself that its going to be fine
until you wake up to reality and realize you were in the denial this whole time.

Defib won't revive, it just stabilizes the heart beat

The man that was speaking was actually dead from a car crash, and the other man with the black shirt was also in the car crash. He imagined the whole thing.
people who drive while drunk/on drugs/texting always say they're "fine" or "it's not a big deal". So, when he's saying "I'm fine" and just complaining that "it's not a big deal", it's a way to mock and make people think that their stuborness will end up like this.
hmmm, from my first aid training I remember that u don't use a defib on a person whos still alive...

Unicorn Star 'Jonno' wraps his car around a tree while speeding and kills his mate. The whole time he is imagining the guy is still ok but he's actually in denial to what he has done.

Johno was speeding, took a corner too fast and crashed into a tree. His mate was taking to hospital because of it and Johno is in denial that his friend has died because of him speeding.
