Fun fact: In the 18th century and earlier purple was actually a color for higher class people and even royalty! This was because purple was quite a rare color, which meant it was more expensive. They also wore that shade of purple and not just dark. So i love that you chose one of the higher class colors at the time to show the wealth people had at these balls.
Poorer people could achieve purple from dying something first blue then red or vice versa, but it wasn't as good a colour at the and and didn't last as long as the purple dye the rich were using, so the purple dye was there to stay.

I absolutely love this Vintage 18th Century Balls idea!! And simply by looking at these dresses, you can TELL ITS BOUND TO BE HARD! So Super proud of u Shay!
This looks like so much fun! I have seen a few other RUclipsrs post about this ball. It’s so interesting to see each of the different takes on the gowns that were created.
It would be really cool to have a ball with both 18th century costume and classic/sweet lolita so we can compare and contrast the lolita interpretation with the real deal, what was kept, what has changed. This would be especially good if you compared two dresses inspired by the same source material as a couple of Angelic Pretty dresses are pseudo-reproductions of specific dresses like the Madame Pompadour dress.
I was there! I’m actually partially in your video at the 14:24 minute mark. I was in the light blue suit with the midnight blue taffeta cape and the black bicorn hat. You looked lovely! Remember seeing you in person and your gown was beautiful!
Yes, I love here pronunciation! It's so funny and cute, but doesn't sound like French anymore. Hahaha. Just like when she tries on the muslin version of the top part and she sais, wow it's so French, so oui oui🤣🤣🤣 I love Shay😍😍
I love watching fashion shows, seeing new outfits, unusual styles, but you're the one who does things that really catch my eye, that's not fancy or extravagant or ridiculous, you've got tremendous intelligence and you know how to use it, ♥️
