The clear and blue Hazel Atlas refrigerator container was not a marriage - it was produced and sold that way. There was a green box that had a matching green lid, but that wasn’t the case with the blue and clear. Do you ever shop at thrift stores run by organizations like Hospice, Humane Society, or women’s shelters? They often have better quality vintage items, and the money they generate goes directly to support good causes. What you called a beer stein is actually a beer mug - steins are the ones with lids, and came into use in the 1300s when metal lids were added in order to keep out insects which were carriers of bubonic plague.
oh that makes sense why I see lots that are paired in that way. I just thought lots of people had the same idea, lol.
@@RealNiftyVintagesorry if I’m being pushy dear. What does your new partner like collecting? I’m so excited for you Jeffrey! I was just telling my hubby Phil how I so wish you met a good man.
@@Sarah-Weasley64 Oh goodness. I must’ve missed it. I didn’t know Jeffrey dear has a new boyfriend!!!!!!!!
Thanks. For the info.
You found the lost shaker of salt! 😂
😂
Hot off the press, 2024 Jeffery & Barb's Live Sale moved to this Channel. Its every Friday at noon. Always a fun friendly chat too. 😊
The blue & yellow transfer wares is lovely. I am Now Sharing your videos w parents of my granddaughter"s friends. I have sent your videos to all my friends & family 😂. So far everyone thanked me & didn't know your channel yet!
Im packing up to move & saved your video as a treat for myself when I finally stopped for the day.
Have a Great weekend everyone!
I love the oil and vinegar guys. That was adorable ❤
Well there, not everybody has an over the shoulder broach 🦎. Nice !
Hi Jeffery, That ukulele is probably a mandolin ♥ but who rally knows about angles? Could be they use banjos 😂
Oh Jeffery over in my neck of the woods the second thrift store I have been to many times it’s a hit a miss there thank you I seen something in the goodwill you was at to there was a owl chair sitting there hope it’s still there fingers crossed 🤞 love watching you shopping in my area take care of your furbabies Thank you Jeffery 🦩🦋🦩🦋
I like that pretty hand painted plate you found. I have a small collection of what I call “cookie plates”. I use them for setting out a plate of cookies, brownies, or cheeses when I have friends over.
Oh, as long as it's just Pioneer Woman, it's all right 😂😂but that's really uggh just wrong! I love when you visit new places.
I got VERY excited today when I realised I found a Bengt Edenfalk Vintage Skruf Glass and teak wood box, MCM made in Sweden. (for ~$4). I also found a Porsgrund, Konrad Galaaen Owl ceramic wall plaque, but I'm most excited about the Skruf glass and teak box.
I just sold the owl for about $50US here in Norway. (I paid about $4 for it) This is so fun. I love thrift flipping. After a while, you do develop a knack for finding quality items without having to immediately looking them up in the store. I didn't know what either of their value was until I got them home and looked them up.
I used to shop the Hospice and Habitat for Humanity in Homosassa Spgs and Inverness. They are smaller stores but some treasures. My best friend lived there and we loved the shopping adventures, neither of us were/are resellers
Always lots of fun shopping with you. You look right at home in Florida.
I see the blue and clear together lots. I believe they were sold that way.
Fun shop, but the Antique and vintage shops, and estate sales are more fun, I think. 😅😊
You passed by the wooden puzzle box. And are you chewing gum? LOL
You might have a new watcher here. Enjoyed your shop along. Also intelligent knowledge. Depends......have a lovely day.
Thankyou for the explanations on your finds. ☺
Those 'little babies with wings' are angels... The little 'babywith wings and a ukulele'... That's a harp, like they play in heaven... Angels and harps are religious icons, and have been artistically rendered as such for HUNDREDS of years...
thanks again for the infor on the items. Always enjoy your videos.😉
It blew my mind to see the things you would touch or pass by and Not pick out to I saw so much I would have bought from you....
it was 40% off back to school at out Goodwills today. i found some pink depression glass, some small acrylic paintings, dragon ware, and luster ware. Sometimes I will buy canvas paintings if they are really cheap and paint on them myself for my own artwork.
LOLOL!!!! Better get ready Jeffrey ! Tising the season is Abt to begin !!! My dollar store had Halloween out last week and when October gets here Halloween will be clearance and CHRISTMAS will go up !!!! 🎃🎄🎃🎄🎃🎄🎃
Good video going to new places is fun. Hope you have a good week. Colleen from MA
I can’t believe how packed the shelves were in that Goodwill!
I make lots of things from all kinds of glass. I do not make anything from valuable glass. Love that hand painted plate. People are making plate walls. They collect all kinds of beautiful plates and place them on a wall as decoration.
Babies with wings are called ANGELS. The beautiful frame had The Virgin Mary and baby Jesus. Many collectors collect religious items.
I was thinking the same thing...but maybe he purposely refers to girls with wings to remain nonreligious. I don't believe he even realized the classical beauty of the Madonna with Child. He doesn't sell those types of items. He tries to buy things which he finds appealing...
I think that's just Jeffrey's sense of humor
Babies with wings are called Cherubs and children and adults with wings are called Angels. That lady shopping got on my nerves saying baby with wings or lady with wings. 🙄
After learning the people and babies with wings aren't biblically accurate as described, I've went more general.
What were they selling the Hummels for? And the large covered Chinese dish in the case was really nice too. Also the 2 copper mugs on the shelf you didn't look at but they were really cool.
Nice video. I leaned a few new thing, so thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I Found the same lithopane fairy light last week in SC.
Thanks for sharing Jeffrey 💞✌️
Another fun video 😊
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I liked the broach, is it getting harder to find goods at the thrift stores? I noticed that a lot of the resellers are spending more time in the antique malls and estate sales.
Jeffrey never really spent a lot of time at thrift stores, although he has been shopping more at estate sales than antique malls since he moved to Florida.
I bought that same brooch about 6 months ago!
Thanks for all the splainin J.
Yes, thanks
@@janetpogue4970 I meant Jeffery. But I love your idea of cookie plate. Brilliant
Try Jericho thrift stores in Spring Hill, there are two of them as well as St Vincent DePaul thrift stores. Not over priced and the vintage items aren’t sent elsewhere. I lived in Spring Hill .
Great video!😊
❤
If you go to thrift stores closer to the homes with money you find better stuff. Found a skirt once with a saks 5th ave tag still attached for $5
Friends, please leave a few comments for Jeffery because that helps his channel. ♥
@janetpogue4970. Why he rarely acknowledges them? Viewing is enough. I think I've commented twice before.
😊👍
That's how it goes. I do like the brooch. How is Reese doing? ❣️
That old framed picture you bought listed at $4 was going to be half price because the ticket was orange 🧡. Score!
I kind of felt bad for that little mom and pop thrift store and was so happy you found something to buy! Who was humming so close to you while you were talking? 🤭🤭
lol. that was actually a worker who was stocking stuff on the shelf. she was really happy, lol.
yep that turkish pot is missing the handle. no pewter in the metals? i always love to find good copper.
I live in spring hill...I should have gone with you :)
There is a Sheriff's anex thrift store not far from that good will
have been watching quite a few different thrifters to get some ideas what to look for . I found a dusty rose Fenton Wheat sheath vase for 4 dollars in perfect condition at a local thrift store ">
Sending telepathic message to buy more blue glassware 😂😊
Frame for 4.00 is nice.
Hey Jeffrey, I'm an expert thrift picker, but I've been able to find Bitchin Stuff on the online markets too. My question is....Should I pass on the addicting online market, for the thrill of the Hunt, Real Thrifting??🤔 I guess I have a vintage shopping compulsion.😁
How do u do online markets. I never see anything.
Man, those thrift shops are WEAK! But it's all about the timing - Sometimes you score a full cart and other times nothing. People need to give away more good vintage stuff so we can hunt it down. C'mon you hoarders, it's not sparking joy and you know it!! 😅
Will ,will 😮 not much at either one . Did like the frame .
Did you miss a Flow Blue platter at the second store?
Hi Jeffry lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
I only buy the clothing for myself at Goodwill, not for resale.
I found a Kosta boda snowball tea light today. I was happy. They don’t sell for a lot so I’ll keep it. Does anyone know if they are always marked? I saw it at goodwill, but then I cleaned it and now can’t find it. Sure is pretty
The ones I've found have not been marked but they have a distinctive look to them. They are very pretty with a light in them.
@@nansea6318 I found the name on the bottom. Hard to find. I can’t wait to get a beautiful candle in it…thank you for answering my question
@@debishaw9355 you are welcome
Slim pickings!
Typical of Goodwills in North Central Florida, and the location where Jeffrey was today. We have two stores in my town. Although the staff are nice there's no jewelry, items are broken, objects are piled on top of shelves, and collectible or vintage items are few and far between. Thrift stores like Goodwill and Red White and Blue in the Tampa - St. Pete area seem to have more to offer. Estate sales are plentiful in Jeffrey's area and frequently have lots of nice vintage reasonably priced especially on the last day. Some of the Hospice Thrifts are great for finding good stuff but their pricing is all over the place. Jeffrey certainly puts in the work required to be successful and his tutorials on found items are the best. Hope to run into to him some day and tell him how much I love his sense of humor and how I have learned so much from watching him work.
Is the leopard brooch signed?
My goodwill today was a miss.
Looks like you put the bisque candle holder back on the shelf & not in your basket.
Now I see it in your basket!
😊
🙂👍
👍👍👍
Jeffrey, we really miss seeing Aaron’s face. Hope he is doing well. Any updates on him? I’m sure you miss him dearly, too. 🏳️🌈🤍
@donnapwood17. Please save that for his other channel. Let us enjoy pure thrift shopping here instead.
@@danacaro-herman3530 If your a REAL subscriber you’d know that he used to shop with him for trains!!!!! 😝🚃
I saw a really pretty flamingo bird bath at Hobby Lobby. 66% off Spring collection. Also lots of baskets. I know you prefer vintage but if you are looking for some for your speakers you might try there, Micheal's or the Home Store. Just FYI 🙂
Everything, outside anyway, looks so much cleaner in Florida 🤷
😺
Alot of people that collect fairy lamps also collect lithophanes
🙂🙃😊🥰
Jeffrey, do you still have your cracked egg collection?
You should if pick up the Reese if the spelling if new addition 🐕to the family 😉
@I still haven't gotten my tape, you shipped it to Misty by mistake, I don't know if your email changed, but I've been trying to contact you, with no response. Please let me know soon
I shipped out the tape a couple days ago, hopefully you'll receive it very soon!
@@RealNiftyVintage ok.. Thanks
can I ask you ....why did you move to Florida?
His mom lives there.
@@tonistanton2574 I knew that but I thought he was happy in other place
because the weather is better for my joints, i have fond memories on vacations when i was younger, and yes, my parents live here.
@@RealNiftyVintage great I hope you are going to be happy there I love watching your videos .
Dollar store art. Too bad. and they wanted 1.18 for it!
Kiss them babies from me. Thanks for this video. Blessings Always
First? Wow!
Oh well…Goodwill is a bust.
Ooooh🤦🏻♀️they are called “Cherubs” if its a baby with wings. They are called “Angels” if an adult figurine with wings. Why is she saying “ A baby with wings or lady with wings?” It got on my last nerve. Geez.
Well, a baby with wings is technically a putti and derives from the Greek. Lady's with wings are not how biblical texts describe 'angels' at all. I was just being more literal with what I saw.
