Moved a little fast for me to follow, so I'll have to watch it a few more times. I was looking for a way to build a small watertight shed to put on my deck so I can store my new compound miter saw which is way too heavy for me to be hauling back and forth from my regular shed, and I use the deck as a work space anyway. I also wanted a shed with wheels, so this does the trick. I love that your little girls are helping you with this project. They're going to grow up to be self-sufficient and know how to do this kind of stuff on their own. Good job, and thanks for creating this how-to video!
Thanks for your kind words. That doesn't happen every day on RUclips!! LOL And yes, my videos are fast, so feel free to use the 'playback speed' to toggle it down a bit. I'm playing to the audience who wants to consume things quickly! And I love Jimmy Diresta videos and he speeds things up!!
I loved your other shed video and this one is great too! You make it all look so simple. I'm currently in the process of ordering timber to make my own shed and I'm using your build as a guide. One thing I'd like to have seen is how you attached the roof to your shed in the other video. Thanks for posting this!
You can do it! In the other shed, all I did was screw from inside the shed up through the frame into the framing of the roof (I couldn't attach from above as I shingled the roof before placing it on top). It's not particularly vulnerable to wind or weather, as it's under the overhang of my garage, so that simple method has sufficed. If it were more out in the open, I may have preferred to attach the roof first from above and then shingle in place. Good luck!
It was an exterior stain by Behr, which I got at Homedept. I went with the darkest black they had - but I can't remember its name! www.homedepot.ca/product/behr-house-fence-solid-colour-wood-stain-tintable-white-no-11-3-79l/1000739759
I didn't list the materials, as there wasn't a set plan when building it. But basically it's pressure treated lumber for the base and frame, with stained ply for the siding.
I can’t believe that that off-cut piece of sliding fit perfect at the top. Blew my mind! 😎
I love your little helpers, i have 7 and a 4 yr old girls they love to help me with fixing things.
The long-awaited sequel. 👍

You do nice work. My nail guns are so old they quit working. This makes me want to get em going again. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@billymacmakes Thanks! I'll give it a go for sure! :)
Awesome!! Much easier to make, does the job and looks great! Thanks for sharing
I also store my tires outside. I put them on top of a tree stump and covered them over with a tarp.
😂😂😂
Great job! Thanks for sharing your work
Beautiful shed and excellent video, thank you! What stain/finish did you use?
It was an exterior stain by Behr, which I got at Homedept. I went with the darkest black they had - but I can't remember its name! www.homedepot.ca/product/behr-house-fence-solid-colour-wood-stain-tintable-white-no-11-3-79l/1000739759
@@billymacmakes wow thanks for the quick reply!
I appreciate your videos. Maybe I missed it, but do you mind listing the materials you used?
I didn't list the materials, as there wasn't a set plan when building it. But basically it's pressure treated lumber for the base and frame, with stained ply for the siding.
cool.. thks
What type of nails did you use in that gun?
Stainless steel 18 gauge nails. They're holding up great 3 years later.
How much did materials cost?
I can't recall the exact amount, but making my own siding really kept the costs down to the minimum. I'd guess about $200 for the whole thing.
What kind of stain is it? BTW, two great looking sheds!!
Siding came pre-stained from Maibec. Black 399.
